Q: Is there an adapter to attach this to an ACME male thread?

I don't know. Unger has a nice three part pole to which is easily attaches. On first use, rubber on squeegee came out of metal at one end. By stretching rubber with pliers, was able to return it to squeegee but suspect that will be a recurring issue.

It snaps, or clips, on, but there is then a threaded compression sleeve on the squeegee that you tighten so it becomes a very tight fit.Edit 5/22/14: What I wrote above is partially incorrect. The squeegee has 3 separate parts: the mop, the rubber squeegee, and the green plastic fixture. The compressions sleeve mentioned above is what holds the three pieces together and does not impact the tightness with which the squeegee is affixed to the pole. That said, however, the clip mechanism is very tight with just the slightest amount of play, and I doubt you will have any problems with it.
