Bosch JS365-RT 6.5 Amp Top-Handle Jigsaw Kit (Renewed)

When I was in college, I fabricated award winning car audio systems. That was a time when tools were simpler, there was no internet to learn through and quality supplies were hard to discover. Still, I was able to do a lot of precision work with a Bosch jigsaw I had at the time. Yes, I said precision work. It took skill but it was possible to accomplish precise cuts that rivaled the best router work.Fast forward to today. I am an old man. I no longer own all the tools I did. I have also lost much of the stable hand I had. So, when I bought a Ryobi jigsaw to do work around the house, I thought it was me that could not do a single straight cut. Of course that I bought a selection of blades to improve performance depending of the job at hand. Of course that I used jogs and guides to help get better outcomes. But the cuts were just garbage. I got the Ryobi as part of one of their kits that came with other tools.So, I finally decided to stop playing around. I bought this Bosch jigsaw. While I liked the cordless feature of the Ryobi, I did not like it when the battery run out at the worst time. Even with multiple high power batteries available, there was something bad about the Ryobi.Oh, what a difference quality makes. My new Bosch cuts so precisely that using it was a snap. Not only are results much better, I no longer have to over think and over plan my cuts. The Bosch gets the job done so well that it is clear that I have not lost my skills after all. It is powerful and stable. Last night, I cut a dozen 1/8" aluminum plates. I marked the line, used the jigsaw and went through the plates quickly and without rattling the neighbors. With the Ryobi, cutting aluminum was painful. The pieces vibrated so much that trying to cut near the line was impossible. I used to have to cut about an 1/8 inch away from the line and then use the router with a guide adhered to the aluminum in order to get a straight line. Well, not with the Bosch. each cut came out so straight and smooth, without the jarring vibration. All I had to do to finish the piece is use one of my long sanding blocks with a 320 grit sand paper on it to smooth things out.I am so much happier. I should have bought quality from the very beginning. I love my new Bosch.If you think that jigsaws can't deliver quality cuts, maybe you too need to switch.

This Bosch jig saw is great. It cuts straight or curves with accuracy and power. I have had knock off Chinese jig saws but they don't last and it's a challenge to cut straight line. Buy a Bosch then you don't need to buy a replacement anytime soon or at all. There are higher model that cost a little more but for the price, performance, weight, features, reliability, there's nothing more you can ask from this JS365 jig saw

Tried renewed and was not disappointed. Came with storage case but no blades (not mentioned in the description either way). Not a big deal. Saw works fine and looks new.

I bought this saw to cut out a Nativity scene for my yard last Christmas. My old saw was about shot. It looks just like new and works great. I especially like the dust blower feature to keep the cutline clear. I have since used it for several projects with no trouble. I also like that it came with a case. Variable speed and soft start a nice features as well. Also good feature is the quick blade change ... sure beats having to carry around a screw driver and get poked every time it slips. Good purchase.

Excellent power tool, carrying case unfortunately I did not like, because it is not practical, and it is very heavy.

I tried out a lot of different saws including Porter-Cable, Skill, Black and Decker, Harbor Freight, Hitachi, Ryobi, Ridgid and a couple of different Bosh. None compared to how the Bosh cuts. The cheaper Bosh JS260 cuts fine, but the blade changing mechanism is just not very good. The JS365 is hands down the winner.
