A Record Book that falls at almost the first hurdle.
Initially, I was excited to find a book of World Cup facts and statistics available, updated after the Qatar tournament in 2022. I had a look at the sample online and purchased the Kindle edition based on what I had seen. A few days after purchase I was able to take my first look at the book and almost immediately I spotted an error. On Kindle location 111 of 1454 (not a page available in the preview) it list the countries who have won the World Cup and beside each of them, the years in which they won it. Against Argentina's three wins the years 1978, 1986 and 2002 are listed. Yes, the third one says 2002 - not 2022. Okay, it's clearly an obvious typo, but one so obvious that it leapt out immediately to me, so why not to the proof-readers? How could such a glaring and obvious error - one which instantly makes me mistrustful of all the other data contained - not have been noticed? Unfortunately, this makes me feel that I cannot accept any data contained within before double-checking it against other sources. I feel I have wasted my money on this publication. I've given it one star as all the other data I have read, so far, is correct, and it is neatly presented, but accuracy has to be the overriding factor in a stats and facts book.

Dreadful. Poorly thrown together. Inconsistent and incomplete.
This book takes the rich history of world cup statistics and throws them out on the page in a poorly formatted and inconsistent way. I think it’s translated from Italian using Google translated into American English unchecked so some of the manuscript is gibberish. Example: page 91; last line “Most goals in overtime: 5 (1970, Germany-Italy 4-3, 1-1 in 90% balance)” Dont buy this, write your own, it’ll be more rewarding

Decent
Ok book would've liked a few more stats from the group stage of matches, but not bad for the price

Clearly not an official FIFA product
Self published rather than any link to FIFA despite misleading title it does give lots of information but it is quite difficult to read. Many pages are very text heavy and there is a lack of consistency throughout each chapter.Very expensive for what is received.

Little detail and some inaccuracies
This is a very disappointing product. Given that it's a statistics based almanac and nothing else, the statistics are light on detail. Some of the stats appear to be inaccurate (when compared to other sources) and at 92 pages, the paperback is not good value for money. FIFA should not be so quick to put their name to such a slap dash book. In short, save your money for a better product.

Not fully in English!
BEWARE! This book has English language text BUT all the names of the countries are written in Italian for some strange reason. Impossible to recommend unless you are bi-lingual
