Q: Is the silicone sleeve supposed to be sealed / glued down?

It appears that can be slipped off. I was able to peel it back a little and can imagine it could be slipped off; however, since I don't know how easy it will be to put it back on, I have no desire to try it. I hand wash it. I hope that helps you.
