Mikasa5136551 Napoli Glass Beverage Pitcher Clear, 70 Ounce

I love this pitcher. Very sturdy. I had the first one 19 months before a crack appeared near the handle after a can fell on it from the cabinet above. I just ordered a new one.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter-in-law. She is an outstanding hostess and loves to have parties and smaller get togethers. She told me she loves the shape, weight and design of this pitcher. And she really is happy that it has no decorations so she can use it all year.

I use this pitcher to make iced tea, having cracked the margarita pitcher I used for 30 years by pouring the boiling water in too fast. I am quite careful not to make the same mistake with this Mikasa pitcher.Finding an iced tea pitcher is tricky because most come with a warning against hot liquids. It's ironic that both of these pitchers (not for hot liquids) have been much longer lasting than the tempered glass ones designed for tea, which crack almost immediately because they are so thin and flimsy. I've had two of those & both cracked around the handles. They weren't nearly this large either.The glass of this Mikasa pitcher is sturdy & thick. It is easy to clean the tea stains off with vinegar, like all glass is. To brew, I poor the boiling water in slowly and let it come to almost room temperature before adding cold water. Then I put it in the fridge. I am also careful not to clean the cold pitcher abruptly with water that is too hot.My only complaint is that I wish this pitcher was as large as my margarita pitcher was, but I am very happy with it otherwise.

Prior to getting this product I had gone through several Waterford clear pitchers that look very similar. When I first started getting the Waterford pitcher it was around $40. That price has gone up significantly and now it cost about $100. When I found this one I was hoping it would be as nice as the Waterford one and it is every bit as good as that Waterford pitcher. In some ways it’s better. It’s slightly thicker and has a great handle. The pour spout works well and directs the water the way you want it to. I have nothing to complain about this pitcher and have found it to be very sturdy. It’s a great size, we use it everyday for our drinking water. The stickers and our intensions behind them are believed to charge up the water, helping to transform our lives in positive ways. There have been some great studies done about how water molecules come together to form larger beautiful structures when positive intensions are held in relation to the water and likewise with negativity the structures were clumped together in disharmonious shapes.

Wanted a fancier container to make sangria than my plastic container from a major store chain. This one blocks the ice (which is nice if you filled the glasses ahead of time). Mine arrived in perfect condition, no breaks, cracks or chips, and didn't leak. I didn't test the volume to see if it held what they state, but it held enough in my case that it's not of concern. Holds the cold when in the fridge, and well just looks a lot nicer on the table. Needed a better color thread for camo other than black. While these are cheaper in the store by a few bucks, you have to have the time to get there, burn gas, deal with people that don't know what they need, or what they are doing, and is generally just easier to buy online. So far these are holding my buttons on and none have broke off. Not sure how much more to speak too, I purchased because of the color. Worked well with a needle during hand stitching. I've not tested it's breaking strength, or anything other than it's working on my buttons. In my reviews most of them are highly rated as I look for what I need, prior to buying, and are based on that fact (price/requirement/use). I've not had to contact the seller for any issues or claims, however would not hesitate to purchase this product, or from this seller again.

My wife treated this glass jar as if it were the most precious thing, handling it with care from day one. For over a year and a half, we used it only occasionally, mostly on special occasions, always being very careful to avoid any damage. However, after this time, the jar unfortunately cracked at the base of the handle, which surprised us because it seemed very durable.What’s most frustrating is that, considering the relatively high price of the product, its lifespan was quite short. Despite its beautiful design and functionality, the fragility of the handle base doesn’t justify the cost, especially when it was used with such care.It’s a shame because the jar was a great addition to our kitchen while it lasted, but the price doesn’t seem to match the durability of the product.In summary, it’s a nice and functional item, but the quality doesn’t justify the price, especially considering its short lifespan.
