One of our best purchases
We love these egg trays! It's so easy to stack them up as we get more eggs, then to collapse them down when the eggs get used up. Very durable and easy to wash. I've used these to transport 100+ eggs over 1200 miles and had no cracked eggs. Great product!

You have chickens? You want these egg trays!
For anyone who raises a flock of backyard chickens, you really want to get these egg trays. First, if like me you get a quantity of eggs from your girls, you need a place to store them that does not take up a ton of space. Each one of these trays (you get 6 in total) hold 30 eggs. That's 180 eggs or 15 dozen. Just imagine 15 dozen egg cartons sitting around. Lots of bulk. These stack without crushing the eggs underneath. Next, when it is time to wash the eggs, for placing in the cartons, these trays make life easier. I just fill a clean sink with cool, plain water, and sit one tray of eggs (tray and all) down in the sink for a few minutes, then wipe the eggs dry. This removes the dirt, bedding, and (Dare I say it?) chicken muck, from the eggs, leaving them clean enough to use. I don't sell my extra eggs, but I do donate them to the senior center here in town. I make sure to wash my eggs properly before the donation, as I do not want to have a senior citizen get salmonella from dirty eggs. That is why these trays are so great for washing eggs. Then the trays dry quickly and be ready for the next 30 eggs! These trays are great!

Great product
Very sturdy! We stack 6 high and it holds weight of our large and extra large eggs. No cracking and easy to clean and sanitize! Great money saver instead of cardboard flats!

Perfect for a small flock!
The eggs our free-range chickens lay fit perfectly in these crates. Once in a blue moon we end up with a huge egg that won't fit (see photo!), but the girls don't lay those often. It's been a long time since we have bought eggs from the store, so I can't compare them that way, but based on all the reviews I read before finally settling on this item, I knew these were a safe bet size-wise. We were using Styrofoam egg cartons and I worried about the stability of the stack and the air not circulating around the eggs; these solved all of my concerns and have worked well for months. I heartily recommend purchasing this for your backyard flock!

Good but too small for jumbo
These cartons worked great until my hens started laying jumbo eggs, I would say they work well for most size eggs but once you get into the XL to jumbo size, the trays are too small. The way around this is placing eggs every other. Still a cheaper/reusable option when compared to the paper trays.

So far so good
They stack well and so far have handled eggs from 20+ different breeds of chickens without issue.

Good egg trays
Sturdy egg trays; holes are a little small for extra large eggs, but still a great deal.

Awesome egg crates/flats for lots of eggs!
SO much better that paper! These stack neatly and securely (each flat turned 90degrees from the one above/below it, fyi), and hold all the sizes of egg my chickens lay from pee-wee to Jumbo! I've got a lot of chickens, so I'm very glad I got two packs of these flat cartons and the matching, folding crate that goes with them (sold separately, of course). When it's time to start taking my eggs to the farmers market, it's going to be a breeze!
