This completely fixed my docking issue. My Roomba used to get close to the dock and try to dock but would be slightly off. It would keep trying, and sometimes it would dock, but usually, it would just give up.After this installation, it’s working perfectly. It’s a super cheap fix, and you only need a medium Phillips screwdriver to get it done.The price of the product is very reasonable considering all that I received, and it also came nicely packaged. If your Roomba tries to dock, gets close but misses the docking station over and over, give this a try.

Before purchasing this item, my iRobot Roomba i6+ (6550) was having issues where it would drive in circles nonstop until depleting its battery. I previously tried cleaning all the sensors, taking it apart and cleaning the inside in case dust had gotten in and was preventing the vacuum's ability to see, and it still was having issues. I then noticed the front bumper had scratches on it that made it hard to see out of in certain areas, so in a hail mary effort to fix my Roomba, I decided to purchase this item and replace both the front bumper and the IR sensor, which did the trick. My Roomba is now back to normal and works as it should. Replacing the front bumper and IR sensor can be a little tricky, as it requires removing screws and taking off some pieces; however, it is not too difficult and is well worth the repair attempt if you are having similar issues.

I couldn't get the bumper to fit on my i7. I only needed the IR sensor, so I removed it from the new bumper then installed it on the old one. Problem solved! It needs instructions!

I caused the bumper to get out of alignment. I was ordering a new machine when I saw there was a replacement available. The website is amazing in giving instructions on replacing the bumper! "FRED" is working perfectly again!

The bumper isn't molded correctly and does not accurately fit to the robot. It kept initiating a bumper stuck error since the shape is not correct.
