Stunning
Out of the box this knife is stunning. Great lines, light weight, textured handle. The damascus pattern was just like the one pictured and it's awesome. Geat value for the money.

Absolutely stunning!
Gorgeous knife in damascus. Recieved as a gift and couldn't be happier. Razor sharp right out of the box. Huge quality, good price for a knife of this caliber. Pictures do not do the blade justice! Even better looking in person!

A stellar EDC blade
To be honest, I would’ve never bought this knife Had it not gone on sale on Amazon. The price was too good to pass up, especially for a Damascus blade so I took a shot at it. I am glad I did. The synergy three has been an absolute Pleasure to own, so much so that I convinced my friends and family to buy them as well and you should too. The blade is much more useful than it looks, and the handle Is much more ergonomic and comfortable than it looks in photos. I bought one in each blade and color combo. Go Ahead and pick one up!

detent is ti strong
I like the looks of this knife. Ergonomics are good. Thr blade cuts pretty well. However, the detent is too strong and causes the knife to open sluggishly. If you don’t flip it just right, it will not open and lock. Good design marred by poor quality control.

Budget version of the We Synergy 2
One of my favorite Civivi knives in my collection. This thing is a looker, fantastic action as usual for Civivi, the carbon/G10 scales are really nice and grippy and the damascus is gorgeous!

Excellent ergonomics, poor quality control.
The Ugly:First, Civivi’s quality control & manufacturing standards on this knife are poor & inconsistent. I own 7 other Civivis, not including my Sencut and WE. I wouldn’t be buying my 8th Civivi if they were all this poor quality controlled. This model is the only one that has manufacturing defects; specifically on the damascus/carbon fiber layered g10 (trailing point) version.-New Synergy3 #1 defect: Flipper tab had a 1.5mm wide divot (missing chunk of tab), which appears to be delamination between two folds of the damascus.-New Synergy3 #2 defect: One of the T8 torx screws connected into the backspacer’s standoff did not have any threads. This screw was free spinning when I received it. Upon inspection, the T8 torx screw was threadlocked and press fit into the backspacer standoff to give it the false appearance the screw was holding in the carbon fiber scales together.-“New” Synergy3 #3 Amazon defect: Amazon sent me a RETURNED/USED item while I paid the price for a new knife. How to tell a RETURNED/USED knife: A) Civivi cardboard box was crumpled on one end. B) The box’s Civivi product label + Transparency label were covered over with a bar code sticker. C) An extra clear plastic knife bag was crumpled next to my “new” Synergy3 in it’s own clear plastic knife bag D) The flipper tab contained the previous user’s Dead Skin cells embedded into the jimping. How do I know this? I scraped the dead skin cells out with a gun pick tool. E) The lock face also showed liner lock residue from the previous owner flipping the knife open & closed. The Good:+Jim O'Young’s design of the handle is ergonomic perfection. The handles molds to the hand in hammer grip.+Liner lock perpendicular jimping provides much better purchase than liner locks with jimping cuts at the exposed edge of liner.+Sturdy G10/CF handles, no flex such as BM's "carbon fiber elite"(which I own).+This is a more affordable version of the titanium WE Synergy2.+Good value at $77.00 USD for layered carbon fiber G10 + damascusThe Neutral:*No left pocket clip screw holes leaves left carrying out. Understandable when working with carbon fiber scales and aesthetics.*Jury still out on 10Cr + 9Cr formula. Initial use on factory edge shows lower edge retention than sharpened standalone 9Cr Civivi steel. Will revisit after a few sharpenings.Final Verdict: Excellent designer, excellent ergos, higher risk than crypto in receiving poor quality control or a Returned knife. If it wasn’t for the great ergonomics of the handle, I would have stayed away.

How smooth can a pocketknife get?
This knife shape shifts around in my hand before I open it. When it opens I have to wonder if I opened it, or did opening happen spontaneously as a final part of the Civivi manufacturing process? There is a click in the room and the blade gleams, then glows with confident warmth like a wood stove. And then it rises up and fits itself perfectly into my waiting hand. There’s “a little bit of home” in every Civivi. And your return is always a quiet celebration.Fred Davis

Sharp and beuatiful!
Love the look of the blade and it is sharp! I have a diamond stone to sharpen and it slices cardboard like butter.
