Greetings,I do not specifically know if this check valve will fit your 1998 Cherokee. However, the part of the valve that goes into the grommet on the power booster unit has a diameter of roughly 1/2 inch. Pull the valve out of the grommet and measure the diameter of the end.Good luck.

As long as the big tube fits the hole, i bought mine for a mercedes and it fitted in the hole. The smaller tube i bought a hose clamp to tight it cause my hose where a little big. Mercedes didnt just sell this part they want me to buy whole hose system with this part for over $100 dollars. The part works perfectly,
