Boker 112004ST Stag Lock Blade Hunter Pocket Knife with 7-1/4 in. Straight Edge Blade

I bought two Booker knives not knowing which one I would prefer. I bought this one and the Boy Scout version. I prefer the larger heftier size of this one and gave the smaller knife to my father-in-law. This thing is built like a brick Sh*t House. Superb German engineering. Pretty much indestructible. The N690 blade is razor sharp and will hold an edge for a very long time. Sharp enough to shave the hair off of your legs. The stag handle is very comfortable in the hand and I have to say very attractive as well. The nickel silver bolsters are heavy duty and have a keyhole on one and if you want to attach a lanyard. Now, here’s where I was really impressed. I have owned this knife for about five years and the lock back mechanism quit working. So, I contacted Boker and they agreed to repair or replace the knife under the lifetime warranty. The only thing I was responsible for with shipping. Once the US distributor got the knife they sent it to Germany for repair. It came back as good as new and my out-of-pocket expense was $14. Highly recommend this knife for someone that is looking for a workhorse.

I bought mine about a year ago and I was really happy with the quality of this knife. I own some really nice quality German folding knives and the quality is outstanding for all of them. The Germans make great knives. I bought a really nice folding Case knife that now sits in the draw stowed away. My Boker absolutely blows it away. She's pricey but you get what you pay for.

I've had my eye on one of these for years. Ordered a few maybe 7 years ago and the fit and finish was not great. This one is perfect. Absolutely what I was looking for. Rock-solid. Sharp. Very nice. Only quibble is that mine arrived without a sheath. Since Amazon doesn't deal with replacing parts, I won't return it because the knife is really great. A little bummed to be without the sheath, but will figure that out.

This knife is high quality. Unfortunately the one Amazon sent me looked like it was in someones pocket for awhile. One bolster was scratched up and had a stain on I could not get it out. The blade look used also. There was some sort of green stuff on the stag scales. Could not figure where that came from. I'm returning this knife and hoping Amazon will send me one that has not been used, and functions properly. I do like it very much. Please beware that the scales on the handle are thick! Which could be good or bad depending on your preferences. However, It does offer a very good feel when in your hand. Will update when I receive my replacement knife from Amazon.Update: 7/16/2013: Returned knife for a replacement it came very fast. No problems with new knife. Nice stag handle and nickel plating. Superb knife. Update my review to 5 stars. It pays to be a prime member! One thing to note: The leather case it comes with is too small for it to fit. You probably need to stretch the leather for awhile, otherwise near impossible fit in without being stuck.
