A woman and her child were liveng in the apt complex where i live and work and i happened to notice after 2 years she even lived there beeing nosey like women tend to be i thought she may be in danger so i went there and sjure enough the beatings she and her 18 mo nthe daughter were beyond anything i ever seen i got them out of ther and to a safe where she is worfking on her english in order to stay in the states because if she goes home the will kill her for leaving her husband. So i saw this book on amazon and ordered it and in just 4 weeks she spoke well enough english to convince the judge she could speak the language so she will be allowed to stay and i give credit to this book from the bottom of my heart i thany it saved 2 lives because he was going to kill her the nest day and leave her in the alaskan wilderness. thanks this book saved her life

I have been frustrated by conventionale Arabic dictionaries because they list the word families. this book is simply organized without requiring knowing the word stems. it is convenient, engaging, and fun to use. an essential for the self-taught student.

Splendid help in my tutoring a lovely, educated Muslim lady who found herself immigrating to the US. DK is my favorite publisher! I inherited things from my family that I did not know the name of in English!

Pros:The book is nice for a beginner learning the Arabic language. I am an Arabic native speaker and I teach Arabic for English speaking persons. The visualization are helpful. And the book of categorized into subjects like home and fruits.The only cons about the book has some some words that’s doesn’t make sense in Arabic but overall it’s useful.

Detailed dictionary for my English language learners

My first language is English but after marring my husband I have wanted to learn Arabic to be able to communicate with his family better. For me it is not a easy language to learn! This book though is my favorite of the Arabic language to learn from! It is clear on how to pronounce the words in English and to see how they are written in Arabic

A good reference book on the subject and good price.

I had this book before two times. Very good book , beneficial, I bought one for my arabic only speaking neighbor and it help her learn things in english and I gave my own to a school mate learning arabic, my arabic class mates were wowed about the book. I finally buy me another one and this time i wont give it away.
