Samsung Galaxy S8 Clear Protective Cover, Black

The perfect thin Galaxy S8 case. Snaps on easily and gives some protection to all 4 corners, top and sides. Very thin case so easy to slip in and out of your pocket without the added bulk of a thicker case. Still shows off the really sharp design of this phone. Also, when the phone is laid screen down, the case is raised up just a tiny bit so that the screen does not touch the surface it is laid on. Material isn't really slick, but I haven't had any issues with grip. Haven't dropped it once, yet. Case wipes clean very easily.Because this is a thin case, it likely will not provide the major protection of these monster armored cases. But I'm confident the protection is a big step up from just going caseless. But what's the point of buying this beautifully designed phone if you're just going to cover the whole thing up with a big case. I wouldn't know this, but if my body was chiseled and I had great abs, I wouldn't put a hoodie on when I went to the beach.The biggest gripe about the S8 is the fingerprint scanner being located on the back of the phone, next to the camera lens. Without a case, and with some other cases I tried, it was difficult to locate sometimes without touching the camera lens and blurring that up. This case has a separate cutout for the fingerprint sensor, which is a great feature. It makes it really easy to slide your finger into the proper spot, without ever touching the camera lens.Designed by Samsung, you know you are getting a perfectly fit product, made with quality materials. Excellent cover for the S8. This case is thin and fits perfectly to show off the edge design of the phone. It is clear enough to see the logos on the back of the phone, very cool, but not crytsal clear like some other cases that look rather tacky. It repalces a matt black Insignia case from BB that was also quite thin but wrapped up enough to break the curved lines of the screen. Protection is obviously not as good but it covers all corners, all of the top and most of the sides. It comes with a sticky screen protector which I didn't install.

This case is perfect. It's slim and well made. The cutouts are nice and open so you can still touch the metal of the phone. The back is clear and has a glossy finish to it and feels somewhat similar to the back of the phone. The case does not add any significant bulk and does not make holding the phone uncomfortable. Feels like there's no case at all. Only issue is that dust seems to collect by the edges and the top and bottom of the case. Water has no issue getting into the case too. And when fingerprints collect, they looks really bad...even worse than on the glass of the phone itself. But this case still seems better than something from Spigen...which is surprising.

Pros: Extremely slim, like there's no case on it, but without the anxiety of scratching the back! Nice little raised corners for "some" screen protection. Feels fantastic in your hands as long as you're not prone to dropping things.Cons: Obviously there's no real protection from hard drops.. It scratches very easily and is a fingerprint MAGNET. Being so minimal and clear, you constantly have to take it off to clean the phone/inside as dirt/lint gets underneath quite easily.

I didn't want a bulky case like an Otterbox or an ugly case like the Neo Hybrid. This phone is too beautiful to cover up. This official Samsung case is very thin, very high quality, and offers some protection without ruining the phone's awesome design. I doubt it would prevent damage from a big drop but it's more than adequate for every day use and will keep the back from getting scratched up. I got the "black" one for my black S8 and it's perfect. Highly recommended.

I bought the case in early May, and after a few months of normal usa it just broke.The quality is very poor. DO NOT BUY

Fits well, super sleek, but it creaks while on the phone. It is super annoying. A hard case should not move around and make noise while on the phone. I think the case is just too thin and the phone too sleek on the sides for the case to get a good grip. I would not recommend this case.

There are a couple of things I wanted in a case for my brand new Galaxy S8.1. I want it to be as minimal as possible.2. I wanted it to be polycarbonate vs TPU.3. I want the fit and finish to be perfect.This excellent OEM case from Samsung seems to fit the bill. It is extremely thin, claiming to be .8mm, and is extremely clear. The material is polycarbonate and not sticky at all. And because its an official accessory from Samsung, the fit is perfect. IMO, the best feature of this case is that the fingerprint sensor is a separate cutout than the camera unlike a lot of other cases out there. This makes it so much easier to find the fingerprint sensor on the back. For $20, you can't go wrong with this case.
