What the heck is memory foam?
SO, I got these because they were really the only pads I could find for the crutches I had to use after a dislocated my ankle (REALLY can't recommend doing that BTW) and I thought it was interesting that they had Memory Foam. Also I had been using doubled over pot holders, with rubber bands wrapped around them which, while effective, is not the best look if you want to leave your home. SOO I bought these! I got the blue ones and they are blue as advertised, and they do have a foam insert in them and a spare one you can stuff in there to make them more padded. If they hadn't put the extra pad in this would be a one star review, when I first put them on I was pretty disappointed, but once I put the xtra pad in too, they were much cushier and absorbed a lot more of the shock of the crutch handles. I disbelieve that the foam has any real memory, it does seem to get a little bunched up in spots, but you can just turn the handle to make the thickest part be under your palm and that seems to work pretty well. They are pretty tight to the handles which is good, if you had poor hand strength they might be hard to get on but I had no problem. Make sure you put them on with the pocket towards the inside so the foam stays put. Decent inexpensive product, made my crutches usable.

Reversed hand pain
I'm an older woman in a cast and completely non-weight bearing for about 6 weeks. I'm using a walker rather than crutches. At the 2-week point, I developed pain, and cracks in the skin on the palms of my hands, making it difficult to put weight on my hands. Within a day of using these grip covers on my walker, my palms started to improve. I'm being more careful on how I position my hands on the walker handles, but these grips do make a difference. They come with two sets of foam. I'm currently using the slightly thinner, more flexible foam.

Very nice handgrip covers.
I bought these for my son. I actually bought 2 sets; one for each set of crutches. He said they are so much better than the plain, bare crutch handles. He's tried other wraps that just get gummy after a time. These fit really well, are washable, and so far have stayed very comfortable for his hands.

Not great
My daughter did not care for these hand grips. She was on crutches for 6 weeks, and even after installing them over the handgrips that were already in place, they were still "hard". The fabric continued to slip/twist, making it annoying for her to use. These were a waste of money in my opinion and she did not use them:(

No cushioning
I was very hopeful about these. Unfortunately, they were relatively difficult to put on properly as they are quite short and it was hard to get them around the grips on my crutches. The fabric covering is very soft. It does come with what appear to be replacement foam inserts or supplemental foam pads, but there's nowhere to put them and all of the foam is thin and flimsy. My pads lost what little cushioning they had after 1-2 days of use. Although these weren't very expensive, they don't serve the purpose they promise. If you just want a softer feeling cover for your grips, these will give you that. If you need extra cushioning, they will not.
