Q: Would it work for a left-handed person?

I am left-handed, this is the best cutting board I've ever owned. Stroke survivor.

Q: What are the measurement of the base . I have another one need smaller one.

The board measures 8 1/2 X 8 1/2 inches

Q: would like to have two add'l. spikes to have on my board. i can drill the holes. Made items more stable.

doesnt seem to require an answer. Williams suggestion of adding spikes to board seem to be a good enhancement.

Q: how long are the spikes?

I do not know how long the single spike is. It has worked well for anything I needed it to hold in place for me such as slicing an onion and peeling a potato once. I actually only have the use of my right hand as my left hand and arm are paralyzed. I am ver happy with this cutting board and would highly recommend it to any one who has my same handicap.
