This egg chair is for my 14 year old daughter. I did not want to spend a fortune but I wanted something that didn’t look cheap or was a piece of junk. After hours of research I decided I’d give this a try. I was skeptical but knew if it was awful I could return it.Upon receiving I was impressed with the small and easy to handle box it came in.Unboxing was simple. Packing was great protecting all the pieces from scratching or marring of other pieces. All pieces were conveniently labeled. Instructions were easy to read with pictures. Assembly was pretty simple. I will mention that the egg chair itself comes collapsed and you have to fan out both sides to make the half circle. The sides do not want to fan out as the material becomes taunt. I did recruit my husband to help with this part. He stretched the sides open while I placed the bolt through the holes. I attempted several times by myself to do this alone without success. So I do recommend having extra hands for this part of the assembly as well as hanging the egg onto the frame. My husband lifted the egg chair while I inserted the metal hook that hangs from the c shape frame.Upon completion I placed the pad in the egg chair and sat down on it. I was a bit worried about tipping although it never happened or even tried to.The free floating feeling sitting in it with my legs folded Indian style was so relaxing. I love it so much I may have to buy another for myself.My 14 year old daughter and her friend get in it one at a time and spun each other in circles. I share this to give you an idea of its stability and sturdiness. It never tried to tip even with a little play.I highly recommend this chair to anyone. I would buy this again.

I received this chair as an anniversary gift from my husband and I can’t say enough good things about it. The gentle swaying of the chair is so relaxing, I fall asleep almost every time I sit down in it.The base of the chair is heavy duty metal so it it very sturdy. My husband assembled it for me and said it was easy to put together. The cushion is comfortable and easily ties onto the basket seat. There is a tether that can be tied to the support arm of the base to keep the basket from moving too much. I have tried it both ways and prefer it untethered, but those who don’t like as much motion may prefer to use it. Also, the basket seat can be hung at different heights using the accompanying chain.The cushion is spot clean only, but so far it has stayed clean. I did purchase separately a cover for the chair to protect the cushion when not in use, but after a couple of thunderstorms with high winds, we determined that the cover acted more like a sail which would cause the chair to tip over. Now we leave the chair uncovered and just put the cushion away when there is rain in the forecast. The chair has remained upright during subsequent storms with strong wind.Overall, this chair has been a wonderful purchase and my only regret is that I didn’t get one sooner!

I am in love with my egg chair! It was easy to build and looks amazing. It’s extremely comfortable and sturdy. What a win!

I bought the basket chair after using one on vacation. Very comfortable and well made. The big negative is that it comes disassembled. Of course I realized the basket had to break down for shipment, and frame assembly was easy and well documented. However, in order for the basket to fit a flat box the cords were not attached to the top of the frame and there are no instructions on how to complete attaching the cords to the top rail of the frame. Bad on you. Looking at how the "rattan" was attached to the lower portion of the frame was no help because you had to have special tools for that.

Literally the highlight of my home! Every time I host this is the most fought over seat! Wish the vision was wider/higher but none the less I LOVE IT !!

A slight rock, soft cushions, I can stay in the chair for hours

I purchased this for my Mother-In-Law's Mother's Day gift...So we've spent the better part of the day trying to wind it back on.... and still working on it...It was coming unraveled straight out of the box.

We added some additional seating to our deck, and this is one of additions. The kids are all fighting over it! The youngest likes to curl up in it and read for hours. The cushion is water resistant, but we got a cover for the rainy days anyway. You do want to be a little flexible to sit in the chair and get comfortable for a while. But my husband who is NOT flexible enjoys the gentle swinging.
