Google Daydream View - VR Headset (Crimson)

Bought based on good reviews, he spends 30 min or so enjoying whatever he sees in there. Becomes completely mesmerized.Only Con is he says his phone gets really hot inside of the head piece after about 15-20min and has to stop.

VR has always fascinated me and my experience with it has always been fun. This thing however, has simply blown me away!The box comes with the Daydream VR itself, a remote control to point and click on items during a VR session (it works incredibly well) and a hand strap with a loop that attaches to the remote (quite useful!) alongside a very thick manual/warranty guide. The only thing missing is a cable to charge the remote (although its a standard type C cable which you probably got with your phone anyways - not a big deal but would've been nice to have)While its true that there are a fairly limited number of applications/games available for Daydream right now - truth be told, that number is more than enough for now. There's enough content to keep you busy for a long time - on top of that, with the use of certain apps you can even watch your own content in VR - it works really well and looks incredible!I had some lens focus issues (I wear eyeglasses so that probably played a part) but it was nothing a little bit of fidgeting couldn't fix. On the other hand, I had a bigger problem with my Axon 7 whereby, the strap that closed the lid of the VR kept pressing against the power button of my phone (and thus hard resetting it). It was extremely annoying but really I can't hold that against Daydream - the problem lies in the phone's power button's placement.I also got nauseated after watching VR content for over half an hour (in one sitting) but really VR shouldn't be viewed for that long constantly anyways.Finally, my phone definitely got super hot (50+ degrees Celsius!) after a while but again, that is to be expected. VR consumes a lot of power at the phone's expenses - I might buy a pack of cooling pads to use as a heat absorb in the near future. I've read they work very effectively with DaydreamOverall though, all I can say is that if you've never used VR before - there is quite simply nothing like it!Will it turn out to be a fad like the 3D TVs? Who knows really - but while its still in trend, I'm surely going to enjoy it as much as I can!

Connecting the Daydream Remote to your phone can prove to be a hassle. However once you get them to connect it works pretty well. I find it a bit odd that I ordered "Crimson" and yet recieved "Coral", but hey, it works just the same.
