It met what it said it would and sealed cylinder but has a different composition and shape to the seals than the original CASE ones it’s said to replace. Original are hard and white while these are a black rubber. It also has one piece piston seals that are more difficult than the normal case Z shaped slit type. The wear rings on the piston were very loose and had to be held together with tape until in the bore to stay in the grooves. Overall worked as advertised for CASE Backhoe but not of the typical quality I’m used to but again it was half the price of a dealer seal kit so for a low dollar fix it works.

Seals matched up with the old ones.Have a couple of hours on them so far.

Cheap, great fitment, works fine

I bought 2 of these the fix the outriggers on my case 580C backhoe. Now, the piston that slides inside of the cylinder, if you are working on of these or have worked on one, has 4 seals on the outside. Both ends have a type of fiberglass flexible seal and the seal in the middle consists of a rubber seal covered by a fiberglass type of seal. This kit has all the seals but the orange seal that should go over the rubber seal in the center will NOT work. It does not fit tight enough for the piston to go back into the cylinder. Spend a little more and get a bulldog brand set of seals.

First the high pressure seal will not fit in the grove in the gland nut with the wiper seal. Had a professional try to install it and it would not fit. Also there is no expansion slit in the center seal for the piston so it will not slip on the piston.

Kit was complete and is good condition except the wear sleeve was packaged inside of the rod seal which deformed it so installation was not possible. I ended up re-using the old wear sleeve (see photo) We'll see about the life expectancy of the kit after installation and operation.
