My fave for straight hair; holds a surprising chunk of hair very securely. Been using for over 60 years; no other brand holds as well. I can never find them in walmart or the drugstores.

Though smaller than the clips I am looking for from the 80s-90s era. The clips are made the same. One solid piece with plastic tortise overlay. I just use 2 clips of this size on my thick hair instead of using one longer on that no one seems to make anymore. If you put too much thick hair in the clip, the plastic tortoise overlay will crack, didn't break off, but snapped.

Very disappointed these are for little children, Goody once made a slightly longer barrette for older adults. I have been looking for it for a very long time. I have two very old barrettes slightly longer then the one's I purchased. If you can help me get the longer barrettes just like the small children barrettes, I would be so thankful.

I have very fine hair, which is also thinning. These are the only barrettes that don't slide off. For me they are pefrect. They disappeared from store shelves years ago, but I found them on Amazon. After using these for a few months, I have to add that they are not as durable as the ones from years ago. I have had two of them crack and shed the tortoise-shell plastic. Nonetheless, they are the only barrettes that work for me. I will have to replace them more often than I expected.
