Good working alternator
Received it in good cosmetic condition. Had it tested to ensure working condition out of the box. I read warnings about some of these different brands not fitting well and having to modify the bolt holes, but this lined up easily on my 2011 Odyssey. Only negative is that it didn't come with any hardware (maybe this is standard). My existing hw is in workable condition, so still gave it 5 stars for the condition itself and ease of install.

Installed on 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite
Yes , I know all the part stores call for a different model . Nope . Buy this 1 for half the cost .Denso company rebuilt . Came inside a Denso branded box .Brand new build quality from Denso means they RULE!.Fit PERFECT first try . No grinding needed at all . (this is my 4 alternator I have installed)Battery light immediately went offChecked voltage with a meter .Pushing the 120 amps these vans need to run the multitude of accessories.Do NOT hesitate , Buy it . It will save you money and the time it would take to replace it if using another brand . Denso ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK with my Hondas .And again THANK YOU Amazon Prime !!!!Every store in town ZERO stock , Prime had us driving within 3 days . Yes ! I love it .

It was completely defective
I waited for 4 days for it to get to me. The mechanic took the old part off and went to put this one on and was like...Oh no! No! No! No! The alternator would not spin at all. I had to give him money to go and get one locally. I don't understand why it wasn't checked before sending it out. Poor quality control.

Seems great; needed a tweak to install
This remanufactured alternator looked perfect, installed easily, outputting as expected. Only issue was the bottom “wing” that slides between the split bracket at the bottom was too wide. I couldn’t get it to slide in despite my best efforts. But, a metal file on the bushing tweaked it down to size and it fit like a glove!I chose Denso because I felt I could trust the brand to produce a quality reman part. Time will tell.

2012 Honda Pilot
Installed on a 2012 Honda Pilot. Checked and is charging battery at 14.4 volts. It is a remanufactured item so only time will tell of quality. I rated 5 stars for fit and function.

Denso makes OEM, buy this over other aftermarket for Honda
Why go with any other brand when Denso makes OEM for Honda? They know what they are doing. If you can't get OEM, get Denso. Only thing I would note is my rebuild one came from Denso USA, whereas OEM is Denso Japan. I prefer Denso Japan but it is next to impossible to know before purchase. My original had over 200k, and really only failed because I had the dreaded Vtec solenoid gasket oil leaking all over it and likely was the root cause of the burnout. I even thought about trying to clean out the OEM and replace components until I found Denso rebuilt ones and figured I would not bother.I wish we had dedicated rebuilders that will take apart, replace bearings, and rewind our OEM alternators like they used to (and still do in other countries like mexico, india etc...) but since it is nearly impossible for most to find rebuilders this is the next best thing to OEM.
