High quality at a great price
The size and quality of this drive is great, and an incredible value for the price. S.M.A.R.T. showed that it'd hardly been used before I bought it. I've had it in a ZFS raid for a lot time now and it hasn't had a single error show up in SMART and hasn't had any file corruption show up in ZFS scrub. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a RAID drive

Recertified 12TB Hard Drive in NAS RAID10 Setup
I was initially skeptical about using a recertified 12TB hard drive in my NAS, but after testing in a RAID10 configuration, I’m pleasantly surprised by its performance.Cost Savings: Compared to new drives, the price was significantly lower, making it a budget-friendly option for high-capacity storage.Performance: Speeds are on par with new drives—no noticeable bottlenecks in read/write operations. Running in RAID10, I’m getting a good balance of speed and redundancy.Low Power Consumption & Noise: The drive runs quietly and doesn’t generate excessive heat, which is essential for 24/7 NAS operation. For NAS users looking for an affordable way to expand storage, a recertified 12TB drive is a solid option—So far, it’s performing well in my RAID10 setup, but I’d still recommend having a backup strategy in place just in case.Would I buy another? Yes, but only for non-critical data or in a redundant RAID array.

Passed All HW Tests
I got this to boost the storage in my NAS. I had some reservations about buying recertified, but I ran some pretty intensive SMART testing on this drive and everything came back looking perfect. Popped right into the NAS without any issues. The drive was recognized right away and I was able to extend my existing volume onto it. Definitely shopping recertified from now on.

This drive works GREAT!
This hard drive works well and was a good value for the money. I had no problem hooking it up to my computer. I really don't hear the drive noise very much after startup. I would definitely recommend this drive to anyone who needed mass storage for movies or even games.

Very disappointed. A drive that fails in <1440 hours indicates 1 million hours MTBF is a lie.
I bought one of these for Time Machine backups. Initially, all seemed well. The drive formatted properly and I did a 1TB Time Machine backup. On attempting to back up a second computer (also 1TB), I encountered an endless cycle of the drive randomly unmounting and backups failing. I ran Disk Utility and got a report that the disk had FAILED Disk First Aid. I finally decided to completely reformat the drive. It would not reformat. I repeated several cycles of trying to reformat and running Disk First Aid. All ended in failure. On trying to order a replacement drive, I encountered one of the least helpful Customer Service representatives ever! Every time I asked a question, I got a long period of silence. On asking the question again, I'd get silence - sometimes followed by an answer. The representative's speech was at times difficult to understand. The return process was byzantine. All of the information I initially entered the first time (when initiating the process) had to be entered again. Then I was given a URL and told to check back in 48 hours.I don't know whether this mess was because I was dealing with Seagate Customer Service or a much-degraded Amazon customer service, but the process itself seemed broken. This drive was supposed to be a Data Center quality NAS drive with 1 MILLION HOURS mean time before failure.I had the drive exactly 2 months (~1440 hours) before it irretrievably failed (and actually was having problems with it for the past month ~720hours). So did I get a lemon? Or is the 1,000,000H MTBF figure a lie?

Great product ( horrible seller, item inside listed on box ! )
So 1 don’t buy this product from smart global. Idk what there game is but it’s not kosher.2. The box that I received clearly had what was inside the box on the outside of the box. ( which is against all standard practices ! ) Would Apple send out the new iPhone in a box that says “ NEW IPHONE STEAL ME?” On the outside packaging ? No they would not.3. Confirm factory recertified not seller. Which means been through more testing then a normal hdd from seagate.4. Through usb 3 getting the rates of 240mbps which is as expected.I’m using a Cenemate dual bay / raid das. No loud noises nothing. Quiet as a humming bird.Oh also packing inside was horrible. Loose disk drive inside cardboard box. Def not happy about that. If it didn’t take 3 weeks from order date to get this I would have refused it. But we shall see !Took a star off for seller incompetence which really shouldn’t effect product but more of the overall experience !

Good drive, great price.
So far so good. I ran an extended self-test out of the box and it came back perfect. I've been running it for about a week, so it's still early to talk about reliability, but so far it's pretty quiet and it's quick enough for me. Great price for a lot of storage.

10/10 will buy again!
Best of the best!Speeds are as advertised, much quieter than other drivers, size is as advertised, works great and the quality is amazing for recertified!Edit: I'm coming back to say that the drives that I received must be brand new, because they are running flawlessly. I wanted to add that I purchased my drives from ServerPartDeals (Formerly Tech on Tech) and I trust them with my life! Also, come to find out, Linus from LinusTechTips uses ServerPartDeals for their refurbished and recertified drives! They made a video about them as well. They're an amazing company and very trustworthy! Thanks for the perfect drives!
