Better than Expected!
I own a smaller "lettuce keeper" that I have had for decades but it is just too small for the heads of lettuce now sold. It is not that I don't like it, I do, but it is just flat-out too small. I went to the Tupperware site to order the bigger one and it now $35!!! That is ridiculous and I honestly don't know how they stay in business with prices like that. So I searched here on Amazon and found this product. Honestly, I thought it was too cheap to be any good. That wasn't very nice of me. I read the reviews here and most were very positive plus the cost of the item couldn't be beat. It is truly worth the price which is extremely reasonable. It holds a large head of lettuce quite easily. I bought my first test head (lol) a couple of weeks ago and the lettuce is just as fresh and crisp as the day I bought it. It keeps lettuce even better than the Tupperware one which really surprised me. I had never heard of this company until I bought this lettuce keeper so did a bit of research on them. Of course, they are not an American company. The U.S. must get its act together if we are ever going to improve our economy. I digress.I highly recommend the product but there was one tiny flaw the first time I opened it to get some lettuce out for a salad. One of the clips came off. Due to very weak hands from carpal tunnel syndrome, I didn't have the strength to put the clip back on but my husband was able to do so quickly. Just lift the edge that lays against the side of the bowl and you won't have the same problem I did. I simply didn't do that right. Buy one!

Keeps things fresh
This crisper works very well, keeping my lettuce fresh for an extended period of time. With only two of us in the house, lettuce would go bad before we could eat it all. I've been using it for a little over 1 month and have only purchased 2 heads of lettuce in that time. The second is only about 1/2 gone and is still in great shape. I do have to be careful with one of the release mechanisms as it will pop off if I pull too hard. I do wish there was a little bit more of a lip between the lid and base or maybe a handle or indentations in the molding to make it easier to grasp. All in all, I'm very pleased with how well it works.

Best lettuce keeper since Tupperware
I love this lettuce keeper. It fits nicely in my fridge and because it has a flat top, unlike the tupperware, I can place things on top. The spike is no longer attached to the bottom and I don't see a seal that others mentioned that could fail. The clips do come off but are easily reattached. I'm hopeful this will last for sometime, keeps the lettuce nice and crisp. Note: do not cut out the core with a knife, it causes browning. Before unwrapping the lettuce hit the core on your counter top and tear out the core.

Disappointed
I read the reviews before I purchased this. There was a lot of talk about the clips that keep the container closed but I couldn't tell if it was a problem or not. Let me settle that. The clips are a problem. The clips do come off VERY easily which is definitely problematic. The container is large enough to hold a full head of lettuce which is great and it does keep the lettuce fresh and crisp, which is why I give it 3 stars.

Works decently
We've been trying to find a way to keep lettuce fresher longer and this seems to fit the bill. Good seal on the container, allows you to put the lettuce head in as you want, it doesn't necessarily need to be cored. The clips are a little tough to unsnap and occasionally will pop off but seem pretty sturdy as they pop back on very easily. It does seem to help keep lettuce fresher.

Save the $20 it lasted about 6 months
This worked great for a while but after about 6 months I noticed a crack on the bottom and that made this another POS [Piece of S...] that didn't pan out. The crack is enough to dry out the lettuce head and it goes bad just as fast as having it in the refrigerator without anything. Too bad as it has a great air tight cover worked great [sans crack in the bottom]. For $20 to last 6 months it isn't worth it. Will have to try something else or go back to Glad Bags.

works well, but limited
I bought 3 different lettuce savers; this one, the 14 cup Rubbermaid, and the Progressive LKS-06. All work on the same principle of having a sealed container over a drip bed to keep the produce out of the water but moist. This one works well but is limited to head lettuce or a couple smaller leaf heads. The design calls for coring the head of lettuce and setting it on a spike that is permanently attached to the grid in the bottom. If you don't core it there's not enough room in the container for a normal head of iceberg. You can cut off the spike and make it serviceable, but it's hard to understand the logic of the design in the first place. It won't handle varieties such as Romaine or red leaf, and is unsuitable for dandelion, kale, or root greens. An issue mentioned by another reviewer is that the "Klip It" locking tabs tend to become unattached when opening the container. Not a problem unless they hit the floor and bounce under your fridge. Guess how I found that out.The one I like the best is the Progressive. It can handle a much wider variety of shapes and seems to offer the most storage space while fitting best in my fridge. I use it for Romaine along with leeks, carrots, celery, etc. The Rubbermaid I liked the least as the square, squat shape doesn't seem to hold very much (a normal head of iceberg won't fit), but takes up an excessively large amount of shelf space. This Klip-It is perfectly fine if you only want to store iceberg or similar lettuce types.

It really does keep iceberg lettuce crisp and fresh.
Did not keep lettuce too well, will use it for a salad bowl. I bought it because my husband is from NZ and also I like the locking device. Made well but didn't do the job I bought it for.Update: 9/8/16 -- I take it back. I used it correctly, by that I mean instead of removing the core, which didn't work well, I just stuck the point into the core, put a little water in the bottom of the bowl and I have absolutely perfect crispy iceberg lettuce. The clips do come off, but easy to put back on and also it is hard to open sometimes. Those are minor in my opinion. It does what it is suppose to do.
