An exact fit and it saved us hundreds of $$$
A little bit of web searching, a video and this pump part saved our rug cleaner from the scrap heap and it is as good as new now.Our Hoover was spewing water all over the place and being a DIY guy I took it apart to see how it works and if I could fix it. The old pump was cracked and broken apart in a few places. A quick Amazon search revealed this replacement and BAM we were back in service and able to clean up older doggy's accidents again.

Easy fix!
Not cheap, but did fix the leak and was hassle-free. Considered buying a new carpet cleaner given price of this part, but in the end, worked like a charm and the machine is still good overall.
