Great book for beer lovers
This is an excellent book, the quality of the paper, the pictures and the research that went into it are invaluable. I really enjoyed the read. I would say, for the casual beer drinker, this book may get a little boring along the way. But for anyone interested in the styles of beer and the amazing concoctions coming out of Belgium, this is a must read.

one of the best
This book is not only beautifully illustrated and printed, with its many lovely pictures of the breweries and thier beers, but it is also one of the most insightful and well written works on beer appreciation. Truly a must have for any belgian beer enthusiast, especially if you're ever planning a trip to the motherland itself. A truly excellent piece of work.

The content is great by there are typo's throughout. Not just a few - many. Why can't the publishers hire decent proofreaders?

Great beer nerd book
Im an avid Homebrewer and i love this book. While this is not a instructional brewing book, it is a detailed, educational, and interesting book on one of the greatest beer cultures of the world and has helped me to become a more knowledgeable and creative Homebrewer.

A love letter to Belgian Beer and its Brewers
What a wonderful book! Anyone who enjoys a Belgian brew should enjoy reading it. The book discusses anything you could want to know about the brewing process, the brewing traditions, types of beer, the breweries, the individual beers themselves, and a bit about Belgium's history and how it influenced beer making. Michael Jackson was obviously a man who loved his work.

Savor it.
Many books written about specific beers or breweries have short descriptions of a paragraph or two. They are usually about brewery history and beer sensory profiles. This book gives more 'legroom' to each beer and brewery. Many pages are filled with personal accounts and tidbits that, after reading hundreds of books or articles on beer, are really the diamonds in the rough that keep you reading more. I like to randomly read parts of this book so I have not finished it but like an excellent beer, that just means that I will be savoring it for some time to come.

Good for what it is
A bit dry for my taste, but filled with good recommendations for places to drink and drinks to get at those places. Decent for planning a beer tour through Belgium,
