Had a very easy time installing this printer and connecting it to wireless
I bought the MG3620 printer, because I just purchased a Chromebook, and my older Canon MX920 was not compatible with the Chromebook. I read reviews for the MG3620 that indicated there were difficulties installing the ink cartridges and especially with getting the printer connected wirelessly. I started the installation with some trepidation. The only issue with installing the ink cartridges was that when you flip down the bar that holds the cartridge in place, it forms an upwards ramp towards the back of the cartridge container space. I found that I had to put the cartridge on the ramp, and slide it upwards into place, rather than try to push it in parallel to the ground. That worked easily. Next, people wrote that they had trouble connecting the printer to wireless, so I found a youtube video that suggested downloading the Canon printer app to your device, and then follow the instructions displayed by the app. With the printer turned ON, and without pressing any other printer buttons, I downloaded the Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app to my Android phone from the Google PlayStore. When the app opened, it found the printer, and I followed the displayed instructions to connect my phone to the printer. My Chromebook was on, so I went to Settings/Advanced/Printers, and saw that the MG3620 was visible. I tapped the button to connect the Chromebook to the printer, and was able to print pages. The whole wireless effort took around 10 minutes. So far, so good with this printer. It looks like a good value, and I hope this discussion resolves some of the installation issues that some people were having.

Connecting to wireless network steps within.
Here are my thoughts on this printer. Keeping in mind I am basing my opinion on its price. Meaning I'm not expecting a $100 printer to perform like a much more expensive option.Pros) Really good quality printing so far. Copied a picture and was hard pressed to tell which was the copy. Could only tell which was the copy because the surface is really smooth whereas the hand drawn paper had all the imperfections on the surface that comes from drawing on paper, and the copy is barely lighter in saturation. Even fine lines came out looking really good. It is pretty compact and doesn't take up much space.Cons) Ink is kind of difficult to install. The ink installation area is a bit cramped and the ink cartridges were harder than necessary to fit into where they go. I could see someone trying to force them in. The instructions are helpful for some of it, but if you want it to connect to a wireless network you will need to find instructions to do that via Google because the instructions that came with mine get as detailed as just telling you to connect to your wireless network with no instructions on how to accomplish that. I have the steps I took to connect to mine below my review. I would have given this 5 stars if the instructions would have been useful for connecting to my wireless network.I have not printed anything with solid black areas in it, so I don't really know how that will look yet, but I'm optimistic it'll look good. Also I have not printed a lot of stuff yet so I'm unable to judge how well it holds up at this time.Wireless Instructions:I did this with an Android phone, but I don't think the Apple devices will be much different so hopefully all you Apple users can be helped by this too.1. Turn on printer and make sure wireless light is on.2. Install the app and get to where it asks you to search for a printer. Leave the app alone right here for now.3. On the printer hold down on the Wireless button until the Power light starts blinking. Next hit the Color Copy button, don't hold it down just press it, then hit the Wireless button next. The Wireless light will now start to blink.4. In the app select the search for printer and your app will now connect to the printer. At this point your device will connect to the printer and disconnect itself from your wireless network. The printer will now use your app to connect to the wireless network for it since it doesn't have an LCD display.5. Select which wireless network to join and enter in the password to connect and that is basically it. The lights on the printer should go back to solid instead of blinking, and your device (my phone in my case) should reconnect to the wireless network. The app asked if I wanted to select an image to print and I was able to print a picture. My wife was able to connect to the printer through the app at this point as the printer was now on the same network.None of those steps are in the included instructions I received. I don't know if some people's devices connect to it right away, but for me the app didn't see the printer until I found instructions on how to connect the printer to my wireless network.Overall a great printer for our needs right now.

Seller was great. Printer is a POS
Shame on me, I actually ordered two of them. Not at the same time of course. I got my first one, did a lot of printing with it, it worked great. UNTIL…I hit print again and printer turned Godzilla into a paper eating machine. It grabbed an entire 1/4” stack of paper and tried to load it. I did what Cannon said to do by removing the paper through the back, not the front. Paper out, let’s continue. Printer never printed correctly after that. It printed over itself, smeared, smudged, and it consistently created a 1/8” gap down the center. Too late for a return. Ordered the same printer again, remembering my success initially. I couldn’t even get this one to connect to my computer. Don’t waste your time with this one. Invest a little more $ for a good one. This model is Canon’s biggest mistake.
