I was concerned about changing out my existing router because I have some older devices that are finicky about their connections, use outdated WPS security and have network settings that cannot be easily changed. In an effort to avoid these problems, I named my new tp-link X20 mesh network the same as my old one and used the same password. It worked! All my devices connected to the new network with no problem. I really like how easy it is to use the Deco app to setup and manage the network. No experience necessary! These refurbished units appear to work great and saved me some money.

Bought these to help my WiFi in our new 2 story home. I did return the ones from Amazon and got the same ones from Walmart bc shipping was getting messed up but the work good!

Very easy and straight forward setup. I have had no issues for the duration of my ownership and the range is great!

Not sure if I got lucky, but both of the refurbished units I received worked great out-of-box. Two units are sufficient to provide good coverage for 3000 sq. ft. A big improvement over the 7-year old tp-link 2.4 GHz single router I was using before, which used to get heavily affected by microwave oven usage and could not cover the entire area.I did not receive Deco X20 though. The model I received was Deco W3600. Since it seems close enough to X20 and working well, not returning it.

I understand this is a refurbished item but I have had constant disconnecting issues. Despite having more coverage than my last router, this router has slower speed and again, constant disconnects. I cannot recommend this particular model.

The instructions on the app are pretty useless. What you want to do is hit the + sign and put in your network name and password. Then it will find your routers. Discovered this on two different TP mesh routers. After that, performance is fantastic. Our two units are 30' apart but we are still getting 300kpbs (Spectrum max) throughout the house (Cape Cod). Our unit seems perfectly fine. I think a lot of people give up trying to set these up and return them. We have a desktop computer plugged into each unit and a VOIP phone box plugged into the far one so all of our ports are being used.
