MUCH MILDER TASTE/ODOR Than other brands
This review is on TASTE/ODOR only. I will update this on effectiveness after a couple of months of using it.Last week I purchased my first bottle of Black Seed oil ever via Amazon and it had such an overpowering chemical odor that I knew I would never be able to even use it externally on my face and scalp, let alone try to take it orally. Fortunately for me, the cap on that 1st bottle got damaged in shipping (the entire 8 oz bottle had leaked into the box) and so when Amazon issued me a credit I decided to look for a smaller size and more expensive organic brand as a replacement. My original plan was to take Black Seed Oil orally 2xs daily as directed and use it externally on my scalp for hair loss issues and in the facial oil blend I use each night, so at the same time I ordered a bottle of BSO capsules to take orally. Turns out for me the capsules will be unnecessary because the smell of this brand was soooo mild compared to the first brand, this morning I decided to try taking 1 tsp with 1 tsp of warmed honey...just to see if I could handle the taste, and I was ABSOLUTELY AMAZED at how mild this is. As BSO goes, apparently, if you, like many others find the typical taste/smell of BSO overwhelming but still want to try the oil instead of capsules because of the higher potency, this would be a great brand to try. Now let's see if it turns out to be "the cure for everything except death" as so many claim. If it turns out to be as beneficial as so many folks claim, especially if it helps with my hair loss/hair growth problem I will update the rating to 5 stars.04/24/2018 update: I've now been taking this for approximately 3 months and have noticed benefits in my hair, my skin, sleep and with pollen and other allergies. This seller is definitely one of the best sellers on Amazon. This is an EXCELLENT quality product and the seller is extremely responsive to customer needs and inquiries and also offers product discounts on a regular basis.09/20/2018 update: This has Definitely helped me with my pollen allergies. I also take quercetin daily to help me cope with all the pollens where we live, and historically when we went out to certain places I would have to take it a second time after returning home. Now that I have been taking this BS oil daily for over 6 months I have been able to eliminate that 2nd pm dose completely and feel great even when returning from the places that used to make me feel bad.I've upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars because not only is this brand of BS oil one of the best things I've added to my diet, this seller this seller is one of THE BEST SELLERS I've encountered on Amazon.

Helps clear up psoriasis sores and skin problems
Flavor was strong, spicy & mediciney the first time I tried it, but the second time I didn't mind it. It's a natural product made from black cumin seeds so you can't expect it to taste like candy! When I get psoriasis sores or other skin issues, it really calms the itchiness right away and heals in a few days. It has healed a small crusty mole on my face that was getting larger & lumpier. Now it's nearly gone! I use it on my face to help improve my skin, but don't get it in your eyes! It burns terribly. I take a teaspoonful every night and swish with it after brushing my teeth, then swallow it. It's helps control mouth bacteria without using harsh alcohol & fluoride mouthwashes. Really like this brand and am on my second bottle now.2023 Update...I tried this healing oil on a mild case of poison ivy around my ankle, and also on mosquito bites. It calmed the itching and healed fast, within a few days! Still using it daily on my skin and teeth too.

Deseo Naked Nutrient--first non-rancid black seed oil I tested--order in cool weather and freeze.
(I have about a dozen more brands Black Seed Oil to test. Will update this review if I find other good ones.) In my opinion, black seed oil (nigella sativa) is just as sensitive as flax oil--and similarly should always be refrigerated or ideally frozen. But to date (July 2018) this is never done. Not surprisingly, black seed oil almost always has that "bite" of rancidity--even when freshly bought. So I decided to test every single brand I could find. Halfway through the list, I found ONE so far that has little or no rancid after taste. Interestingly--this brand also has a plastic inner-stopper. That is a nuisance to remove but it might be making the difference. After opening, you can certainly discard the inner-stopper if you store the bottle in the freezer. If it gets too thick to pour out, just leave at room temperature a few minutes. Alternatively--you can buy in large bottles kept in the freezer--and feed from small bottles kept in the refrigerator.Interestingly--please note that whenever you buy a small bottle of spring water for $1 or less--the lid always has a well-constructed inner flange to make sure the bottle is airtight and thus the water will not leak out. That inner flange serves the same purpose as a separate inner cork or stopper--without any added nuisance. It really makes a difference. Paradoxically, you can buy vitamins or nutritional oil for $10 to $100 per bottle--and no inner flange. Did you ever notice how chewable tablets, in particular, absorb moisture and become discolored within a few months? Sometimes they even melt together into one big lump. You can prevent this--and keep the tablets totally fresh--by placing the tablets inside of a ziplock sandwich bag--and then placing that bag inside of the pill bottle. Once again--this inner bag serves the same purpose of the inner flange of the lid of every cheap water bottle. Even more interestingly--some vitamin manufacturers will brag about using heavy, clumsy, breakable glass bottles to improve freshness--but with poorly-fitting plastic lids that never have a good inner flange. My experiments have proven conclusively that any plastic bottle will keep the pills much fresher if it has either a serious inner flange or an inner plastic bag.
