Nice enclosure, decent drive, expected USB3.0 speeds
Even for a budget HDD, this is a good value. Although I was expecting a 10TB, inside the enclosure was a 12TB Water Panther OOS12000G, a seriously budget model. Its performance is as one would expect from a budget commodity device. To validate the true capacity, I copied terabytes of data to the drive. I was seeing 95-100 MB/sec (1 gigabyte every 10 seconds or so) which is par for the course on spinning platters over USB3.0. Once the drive was about 85% full, it slowed down by about 30%, which is expected. I generally never exceed 85% used space on any storage device.

Great capacity
[Update Mar23 2024]: In actual use as a backup drive, this drive is very fast. I am very pleased!I have a 5TB WD 2.5" external drive I use for backup. I wanted to replace it with an 8-10 TB drive, but the cost was high. I found this and it works! It's uses older 3.5" media, which no one wants any more, hence the lower price. The newer 2.5" enterprise drives are much faster, but I don't need super speed for a backup drive. I tested using CrystalDiskMark and this Avolusion drive is 20-30% slower that my old 5TB WD drive. But for the price, I can live with slightly slower backups.

This Drive has been running since the day I got it No issues No dataloss Corruption or any other issues with Windows 10 reading it It is not 10tbs because of the partition table and software required to use it only reads as 9.09tbs read by file Manager

broken or corrupt. unreadable even after trouble shooting.
i may change my review in the future but as of right now this product is unusable.the disk drive will not read in disc management. it does show up in devices but regardless of updating drivers, uninstalling reinstalling the external drive, restarting computers, switching usb cables, changing usb ports and even swapping to other computers in in the home i am having the same issue. it will not read as a disc drive and can not be partitioned. i will be sending this back and trying one more in hopes that it is just a broken drive.

So far, so good.
Easy to set up. All storage recognized. Fast and enormous. Good looking too. I use it for back of two computers, a desktop and laptop. Very good value for the money.

So far, so good. But this is my second unit. The first one came DOA (dead on arrival). Lots of space for storage, but the speed is average.
