Bypasses PS3 HDCP in 2025
Everything I could have asked for with one of these splitters! No hitches, no picture quality issues and no added latency; works perfectly with my Elgato HD60 S to bypass PS3 HDCP. USB powered so I don't have to free up an outlet plug.

Works well and splits the HDMI signal
Works well and splits the HDMI signal. The picture quality looks good. I used this connected to my DVD player and worked without any issue.I also feed one output to a video capture device and was able to record from a DVD so the unit must be handling the HDMI protection correctly.Very stable picture and sound.

A Cautionary Tale
I purchased this to split my set top box feed, sending one output to the TV in the lounge and another to an HDMI over IP extender with outputs in the kitchen and bedroom. It worked flawlessly, although I had some difficulties with the HDMI extender (long story short: get managed switches and use vLANs). Then we moved house, and I misplaced the USB cable that powers it (and in fact forgot that it even was a USB cable). So I dug around in the garage and extracted a spare power adapter with a barrel connector, plugged it in, saw the LEDs light up and thought all was well. But no signal appeared on the screen. I waited a few (too many) moments, wondering if the splitter was just taking its time to establish a sync between the connections. Then I noticed small wisps of smoke rising out of the box. I immediately pulled the power cable out, removed the splitter from the area, and wafted away the acrid-smelling smoke. It is undoubtedly entirely my own fault that I put 12V through a box only rated for 5V, and in no way is it a failing of the product that this inevitably fried the little box's insides, rendering it entirely useless. In my defence, it's pretty much standard for devices to have their power requirements printed on the box, and this doesn't (it simply says POWER). Nevertheless, I should've looked it up online before I fried it, and my own hastiness has cost me a tenner and a wait for a new unit to arrive. Such is life.Additional side note: I bought my (now dead) unit in 2015. It stripped HDCP perfectly, allowing me to use it exactly as I'd hoped - to split and strip the HDCP encoded feed from first a Sky and then later a Virgin box... I note firstly that a number of reviews here mention that the box doesn't in fact strip HDCP, and secondly that the top of the box has a different print to my version, which looks much more like the Moyishi HDMI 1.4 1 in 2 out 4K X 2K 1080p HDCP Stripper 1x2 Splitter Power Signal Amplifier, albeit with the eSYNiC logo. Obviously these are generic Chinese boxes, branded with the logo of whichever company chooses to resell them. Since I'm after a combined splitter/stripper, I've paid the extra couple of quid to get the Moyishi box to replace my burnt-out eSYNiC, and suggest anyone seeking to avoid HDCP problems do the same.

It works well - HDCP bypassed, satis.
Replacing an old set-top freeview box with new Humax gave either a black tv screen or an 'HDCP device non compliance' message, indicating that the 2 year old TV was non compliant with the new HDCP standard. The implication was that the TV should be replaced too! How ridiculous that new AV kit is made so that it is deliberately not backwardly compatible ... !Enter this little device ... it responds to the 'source' licence 'handshake' request then passes the HD video signal through to the old TV, problem solved.Marketed as a HDMI splitter, it takes a single HDMI source input and splits it to 2 HDMI output ports. I can't advise on the quality of both outputs used simultaneously but I can confirm that using a single output causes no signal degradation. It is a powered device but the supplied power cable connected to the Humax USB port which is sufficient to power it.In conclusion: A small device, cheaper than a new TV.2 HDMI output ports.Bypasses the HDCP compliance issue enabling a new AV source to work with my older TV.No AV signal degradation.Afterthought: it gets slightly warm, indicating some inefficiencies. This may impact its longevity, time will tell but, for now, I am happy that someone has provided a solution to one of the industries 'built in' obsolescence issues.

Missed returns window with fault part . My fault should have tested in case but did not
I have purchased 3 of these splitters now 2 have been fine and the last one I purchased don’t work properly and have missed The returns window now as I only just got round to setting up . Can’t be arsed to give out email and phone numbers over a cheap part so will just throw in the bin less back and forth but apart from that they work good when working properly

Brilliant
Purchased to overcome HDCP issue on the strength of previous reviews - huge thanks to all who have taken the time to post reviews - as a non technical person your advice has been invaluableThis little box works perfectly with my Apple TV box enabling viewing of you tube and Amazon prime films otherwise blocked with ‘HDCP incompatible ‘messageJust to note the box needs a power plug - power cable supplied but you need to supply your own plug.
