Couldn't be happier with the toy and the customer service! We asked for a non-courier shipping (to avoid extra customs fees) and to check the item (to avoid lengthy returns abroad) and Mr.Gruffalo arrived just flawless, with the official franchise tag, a cute descriptive "passport" who he is, packed safely, with every hair and prickle in place, seems tough and well-stitched, so should be durable. The fur looks shiny, smooth, very neat hairs where the mane and tail brushes are, the stuffing is firm but huggable, the wart is stitched on, the eyes are plastic and non-frightening, but curious. The prickles, claws are hard felt, so is the tongue. The whiskers are soft threads, so you tuck them behind the tusks and they straighten up and don't hurt a toddler. Overall he's a charmer. Never had I spent so much time describing a plush toy, but this store made us all so happy! THANK YOU! PS: do get this big one - it's just about the best size for a toddler to carry around and hug in awe, not an itsy-bitsy totem.

I bought this for my 2 year old niece as a Christmas present, she (along with her 2 older sisters) is a huge fan of the Gruffalo and they all constantly watch the dvd and read the book (or more accurately have it read to them, although they do know it word for word).The book description of a Gruffalo is"...who is this creature with terrible clawsand terrible teeth in his terrible jaws?he has knobbly knees and turned out toesand a poisonous wart at the end of his nose.His eyes are orange, his tongue is black,he has purple prickles all over his back"and this is perfectly represented in this soft toy. They have somehow managed to make a potentially scary creature quite cute.What I particularly liked about the toy is how soft it is (even the prickles down his back are soft), it is perfectly huggable and my niece now takes this to bed with her every night. I was concerned that if waking during the night it might scare her but this doesn't appear to have been the case so far.Although this is advertised as 16 inches, if buying it you need to know that the toy is 16 inches end to end, this is not the height that it is when sat down, when it is closer to 11-12 inches.After having this toy for 3 weeks, my main thought is "I wish I'd bought 3 of them" so that my nieces could have one each.

My two year old was thrilled when he received his Gruffalo. He wanders round the house taking him into every room he goes. In terms of quality, it seems well made; there is nothing on it that small hands can easily pull apart!It contains all the details that you would expect a Gruffalo to have (orange eyes, purple prickles etc etc) making it a good representation from the books.In terms of size, I am glad I opted for this one rather than a smaller one; it is just the right size for small people to take to bed and cuddle! I have seen a few reviews of this and other sizes being very negative saying how 'misleading' the description of size is because the Gruffalo is sitting down. I chose to ignore them and was glad I did!

I'd looked in a few shops at buying Gruffalo, for my little girl at Christmas, and some shops were charging extortionate amounts for a Gruffalo half the size of this one! I got this from Amazon on offer and it's well worth the money! My little girl loves Gruffalo, and even with the way she shoves him in her dolly's pram, and then plays ruff and tumble with him he's so well made that he's surviving! (One slight problem, in that she found a thread from the wart on his nose and unravelled the wart :P but I think that's more her than the quality of the product lol). He's made exactly the way he's described in the story, and so so cute :)

My daughter loves her Gruffalo!It is well made/good quality and very detailed (as described in the book... "..wobbly knees, turned out toes, warty nose..." and all!)My only complaint and why I didn't rate this 5 stars is because it's not 16" sitting, it's 16" in total - so to get to 16" you need to stretch out his bent legs and measure him.

So I got this for my girlfriend xD we're both 17 so it was slightly tongue in cheek, but she absolutely loved it. I appreciate that this product will mostly be bought for people a great deal younger, so I'll get to talking about the product itself :) It has the verse from the book where the gruffalo is described tagged into it's ear, and matches the description perfectly - right down to the wart on his nose =D It's very well made, really cuddly and would look great on any childs bed or windowsill etc. :) well recommended!

My son loves the Gruffalo and this was a perfect christmas present. He is a great size (16"), he is so soft and cuddly. He also fits in the pie dish and wooden oven in the childrens play kitchen for when I want to make gruffalo crumble :-)

So pleased to get a big size of Gruffalo for my daughter. She is very happy. Super quick delivery. Nice soft quality. I read some reviews complaining about poor stitches but after a month of my daughter dragging him everywhere, no stitches are coming out and he is surviving good. He was made very strong I think.
