Ibanez RG421 MOL Electric Guitar

I am an intermediate player. Since I bought this guitar 3 years ago, this is my go to guitar.I love how the natural wood finish doesn't show scratches, and it looks good on my wall too.It stays in tune and is comfortable to play. That's all I needed.

I bought this in a guitar shop so the retail price was a bit higher than here on Zon but even at that price this is a very decent guitar, up to Ibanez' usual standards. I own two other more expensive Ibanez models but wanted a cheaper workaday guitar but was surprised at how good the playability and tones this model offers. I won't bore you with all the geeky technical details but suffice to say it's well made, has a warm natural finish and is particularly good for rhythm playing. I fully recommend this for beginners and even more experienced players who want a good everyday guitar but don't want to risk losing or damaging their more costly instruments..

This is a good looking guitar and very light. I drop tune to C, or even B or A. But with much heavier strings than it comes with! The neck feels fast to me, and I've actually been playing more since I bought it as its a great pick up and play.Some people like the wizard necks and some don't, but for me it feels really nice and fast. It's more of an unfinished neck rather than gloss which again helps with its playability.Great fun, and I feel it was incredible value. Also the guys at Rich Tone Music were easy to deal with (Ibanez put their prices up just after I bought, which meant there was a flurry of orders but they kept us up to date and got it to me when they said they would).

Just doing the first restring and the tuning pegs are loose and falling off
