Nikon HB-N106 Lens Hood

Not much too say! It does what it says. Does seem a little wonky by I'm new to photography so maybe it's just my perception. I did think something else looked wonky in my friends workshop and even he got confused and had to measure. It wasn't wonky..Flips back to keep it on the lens. Unlocks easy and quick.Does what it's supposed to!

I thought that for a genuine Nikon branded product, this would attach itself much more securely to my camera lens than a much cheaper, unbranded lens hood. Turns out I was wrong. I should’ve saved my money and stuck with the cheaper version! Not happy!

This is a great lens hood (although slightly pricy for what it is). Feels and looks like great quality and fits well on my 18-55 af-p VR kit lens. When it first arrived I thought that it did not fit my lens correctly as it would not lock in place and sat very loosely (as described by other reviewers). I found out that the problem was that I did not apply enough force when twisting it in place (significantly more force is required than when I’m applying my lens hood on my 35mm prime lens). Once you apply enough force you will hear a click and it will be firmly and securely stuck onto the lens. I would reccomend this lens hood.

Excellent quality. Fits perfectly unlike the non-branded compatible one I got first and had to send back, and better matte finish on the inside to reduce light being reflected into the lens. But very expensive for a shaped and painted bit of plastic. More than twice the price of the compatible one though agreed it is of superior qualty. One star deducted for value for money reason

This fit my genuine Nikon 18-55mm lens perfectly and locked into place no problem, but I did buy direct from amazon as I always do. Some other reviews state that it fell off or very loose, I can only think they may of bought a fake from a third party if they were not bought from Amazon direct. The quality of mine is as you would expect from Nikon “superb”

Don't waste your time and money on some rubbish Copy , This is a Genuine Nikon one clicks into place perfectly ,sometimes you have to pay to get Quality

After a couple of incorrect purchases, this hood fits the new 18-55mm kit lens - the retractable version. Easy bayonet attachment. Reverses for storage.

Bought the lens hood for two reasons.Reason number one... it helps to stop unwanted light hitting the lens.Reason number two... it helps protect the lens.It successfully does both.
