This was easy to put together and is very comfortable as I have fallen asleep in it many times.And very good bonded leather and who doesn't like a bit of bondage.

Delivered 2 days after order,left on doorstep as no one in, requires 2 people to lift box,had to unpack to lighten the load to be able to turn box on its side to get through front door.Chair in reclining position is comfortable and i have fallen asleep most times that i use,which was the purpose of buying,as i am having sleep problems in bed.You need good strong legs below the knee to reposition upright from the reclining position to make the chair latch in the upright,maybe theres a knack in doing this that i have not found.i am a 58year old male,anyone frail would struggle to cope with repositioning from recliner to chair in my opinion.Price of chair is good and appears sturdy and well built,chair is larger than my other chairs and needs a good space to recline.All in all for me a good first time recliner buy that did not break the bank and is comfortable to fall asleep on.Great service from Sonic and recommend to all.

Ordered late on a Friday, took delivery the following Tuesday, well before the expected delivery date. I followed the delivery tracking information sent to me via e-mail by the supplier so I could arrange for someone to be available to accept it. As for the chair it is fantastic especially for the price. Bought this as I couldn't get on with a brand new sofa from a leading supplier, and thought it was worth a risk as even if you sit on something in a showroom the one you get is not as comfortable as the one you tried out. So back to the chair, it does everything it says on the advert. It is just right for me with the leg support up but with the back in it's natural position. The bonded leather (google this to see what it actually is) has a sumptuous feel and seems good quality. The reclining mechanism works flawlessly. It looks smart, in fact looks better than some twice it's price. All in all, I love it !

We browsed many furniture stores looking for a leather recliner, but needed to sit down in each shop, in shock at the prices. This is an amazingly low price for a quality, large,comfortable recliner which looks just as good as many costing 4 times as much. OK, it's not TOP quality leather, and obviously it is manually operated (which we prefer--no trailing flexes) but equally there is nothing wrong with this--it is strong and well made. It is beautifully soft to sit in and plenty big enough and man enough for my husband who is over 6feet tall and with a 50"chest.In case you are concerned about it taking up a lot of room,surprisingly,it doesn't. The cantilever effect brings the chair forward into the room rather than banging back into the wall .You will need a bit more room if you recline the chair to almost horizontal,however.It was delivered within 48 hours--what service!It arrives boxed, with no instructions, but it is quite straightforward--you just need to slide the 3 pieces of back into runners. No screws or complicated procedures.We bought some leather care products to keep the leather looking good and to help protect it and this has the effect of making the leather look even nicer.Don't bother to look elsewhere. The only way you could better this is to buy one with an integral drinks/cigar container in the arm-rest!

Good value for the price but buyers should beware of the following:1. it is bonded leather despite being advertised as, 'real leather';2. The footrest mechanism is incapable of graduation: as soon as you release the leg-rest to recline the chair, the rest tends to extend fully (and fairly rapidly) so it is more or less parallel to the floor. if you have a bad back the sudden conversion of your body into a 90 degree angle may not be a good thing!3. The leg-rest mechanism is so stiff that once the rest is extended it is very difficult to push it back into position - this can only be done with a considerable degree of force. If you have weak legs or a bad back you may not find it possible to restore the chair to its sitting position, which means that extricating yourself from the chair can be difficult and may result in the whole thing pitching forward and your being ejected from the chair. Again, not ideal if you have a bad back or dodgy legs! After three weeks of more or less continuous use there is no sign of the mechanism easing up.4. I am 6 feet tall and the seat back is too short and seat itself too shallow. This would probably be fine for someone up to 5 feet 8 inches tall.That's my grumble for the day!Addendum to above added July 2019: see attached a picture of the chair now. It is not in daily use, but this is what it looks like after nearly 4 years. The bonded leather simply disintegrates over time, leaving the fabric below. The floor is covered in minute shards of bonded leather every time stand after sitting for a while .For the price I would expect nothing less, but don't expect this to look anything like the same condition as when bought after some considerable use: it is not real leather and you get what you pay for. I have found it comfortable and it does provide good support for the back when sitting in the upright position. I had to replace the plastic handle for the release mechanism with a metal one as the former broke. The chair is still extremely difficult to restore to it's normal non-reclining state. Either quite a few of the reviews for this chair lack veracity, or I received the only dodgy chair produced. I leave it to you to decide which is the more credible option!
