Great fire pit.
The item arrived promptly and was able to use the wekeend after it arrived ( think it took 4 working days) earlier than expected. It was heavy duty and although I could do must of it myself.. I'm a petite girl, I did need some help screwing in the final parts. It is heavy so once you have 2 legs on it can be hard to balance it and screw on the legs.We used it originally for a bbq and at the same time we had our brick bbq going. The firepit took less time to get the coals hot than the normal bbq and we found it gave the food a more even distribution of heat.As the firepit is quite deep ( which you want) it means that the bbq grill is higher up. This means that the food won't burn but will cook nicely and can give a nice smokey taste to the food.Once the bbq was finished. We toon off the grill and bamm put in wood and other things to burn and everyone sat around talking, drinking around it.The photos make the dish look smaller than it is. We were able to cook 6 x burgers 6 x sausages and 6 x drumsticks on it.We were able to burn most of the garden if we wanted to as well as so deep.Needless to say our next bbq we just used the firepit as it is so easy to transform from fire burner to bbq and back again.

Holds a good amount of firewood and gives off plenty of heat
Really strong, substantial cast iron fire cauldron. Holds a good amount of firewood and gives off plenty of heat. Screwing on the legs is a bit of a faff. Best done with two pairs of hands. Black paint burns off on first use, leaving a nice, authentic ironwork look afterwards.

Good solid heavy unit.
Good product, nearly 10mm thick cast iron. Cast legs but does have steel tube round support part that may rust away in time. Grill great fit and enamelled for easy clean. Casting can look a bit rough with what appear to be cracks but they are just from the sand cast moving during the moulding. Fire burns well in the deep bowl. We use charcoal which is perfect. Should last many years.

Fabulous heavy duty fire pit with accessories to use as a BBQ. Stands nice and firm and is fairly deep to allow a good quantity of wood to burn. Looks attractive too and is a good size - doesn't take up too much space and can stay out all year round. It does get some discolouration due to the wet weather, but this does't detract from the item and I prefer the convenience of being able to leave it outside, so that we can have an impromptu fire. It is easily portable (when empty and not alight - of course), so could easily be stored away if preferred.

The firebowl itself is good, I will re-paint it black though
The firebowl itself is good, I will re-paint it black though, in stove paint, as I'm not keen on the gold effect. However the lower ring that the legs attach to has pre-drilled holes in it, one of which is not evenly spaced and means the leg is at an angle, straining it.
