Clear Shower Screen Seal Strip – Fits 4-6mm Glass, Covers Up to 15mm Gap (Straight)

Some reviewers said the seal was damaged upon arrival by post, but ours was fine. Cut to length in no time and soaked in hot water to soften it (ours was fitted to a curved screen) and fitted in seconds. It has been in place now for a few weeks with no sign of slipping off.Update this is the second one ordered as the old one looked tatty, I probably didn’t get it hot enough to fit (curved screen) as it came off after a few hours but tbh the cost is minimal. I haven’t refitted it yet but I’m sure it will be ok.One tip when ordering, make sure you check the gap between the bottom of the shower glass and the bath (or whatever) as you need to order the right size of seal to bridge the gap.In conclusion I would recommend this product as it is very reasonably priced and as all seals discolour in time why would you want to pay in excess of £20 for one?

Easy to fit and very sturdy. I have a curved screen and was sceptical of the flexibility as the branded replacements I’ve bought in the past have quickly lost their integrity and split during cleaning.Has been fitted for a couple of days and is doing the job of keeping the water inside the shower, which is what it needs to doGreat value, considering the branded alternative is five times the priceWould definitely purchase again

Bought this as a replacement for the shower screen in the upstairs bathroom as it had split and water was getting on the bathroom floor after having a shower. This stops all that and seals well. Recommended.

It fits perfectly to my shower glass

I bought this because the original seal on my curved bath screen is looking manky & has started to split at one end. The original seal is a "Aquamate", but I've had a job tracking down this type. It was purchased from B&Q a few years ago as part of the bathroom suit with a "P" shaped bath & a curved screen. B&Q have now discontinued the range - & their suppliers have also discontinued it :(I have searched online but have found nothing suitable, until I came across this universal seal.According to the description... "For curved screens, soaking the shower seal in hot water for 10-15 minutes before fitting will provide flexibility", which I tried, but it still didn't bend enough without kinking. My second attempt was to pour boiling water over the seal, which worked a lot better, but still not perfect - & it shrunk the seal slightly, so now it is 10mm too short.My main problem is (though this is not the fault of the seal), the walls in my bathroom are not upright (tested with several brickies levels). Because of this, there isn't a correct right angle between the wall & the edge of the bath, which makes the seal work at one end, but doesn't touch the bath at the other. If you are wondering how the original seal worked, the rubber strip was deeper & 'folded under' more at one end than the other.My verdict (& the reason I only gave 3 stars). This probably works well on flat (non-curved) screens, which are perfectly level with the edge of the bath. However, the seal didn't curve as I expected it to, therefore, looks quite unprofessional & I don't expect it to last very long before it either leaks, goes mouldy, or breaks completely.I am not going to score it any lower because it would probably suit flat screens which are level.For the price, it was still worth trying.

This is the second purchase of this strip as it worked so well. The old one eventually was looking old, but that was after many years! We have curved shower screen and these will flex around the curve. Once they are on for a while they keep the shape and stay on fine when moving the screen. I had to cut it to size but it's easy enough to do with a fine saw.

First time reviewer. Very good product for the price, however be careful on delivery. Our postman thought he could get it through the letter box, as a consequence it got so damaged I had to cut and splice. Fits nicely and does the job but would have been less work if it could have been fitted as a whole.
