Fits 2007 Ford Taurus perfectly
This item is not sold by Ford dealers as a separate part. It is fantastic. It fit perfectly and the car is shifting smoothly.The transmission linkage bushings in many older cars and truck begin to degrade over time, and eventually break apart into pieces. This allows the the linkage to separate unexpectedly, leaving the driver unable to change gears. Don't let unscrupulous mechanics take advantage, by charging $100s or $1000s for a transmission rebuild they never performed.Tip: the bushing plastic is tough and hard, so it needs to be softened a bit to fit easily onto the linkage. Heat water to 180 degrees and drop the bushing into the water, then leave it for 20 to 30 mins. Let it cool a bit and it will still be tough, but slightly pliable. Connect by hand to the linkage nipple/bolt, then connect to the linkage shaft. It takes a little effort, but no tools necessary to snap it on.To ensure proper shifting, connect the nut, tighten by hand and test shift from inside the car. This will take a little trial and error and requires a 13mm socket with extension (to reach into the engine bay). When it shifts smoothly, without being too loose, apply medium thread lock liquid to the nut and bolt (medium holds the bolt fast against vibration, but allows for removal with hand tools). Should last many years ✌️

Works perfect
I generally have good luck with Dorman parts and these are no exception. Reproduction plastic parts like these can be hit and miss but these are nice and feel malleable like the OEM nylon bushings. My old bushings were still usable but starting to tear through after 30+ years of service.You will need some pliers or a clamp to carefully press them in but this is normal.
