LOOKS PRETTY GOOD; WORKS WELL
To replace my late dad's cheap pliers bought "soon after The War) - that I 'half-inched' decades ago.(These however have lasted FIFTY years 'so far'!!!)

Good, medium priced pincers
A good solid pair of pincers. There are many of these on the market and prices vary according to quality. These were a medium range set of pincers which meet my needs exactly. They are a decent weight in the hand and mechanism is smooth and precise. Pincers appear sharp enough to deal with cutting small pins and nails. There is even a v shaped cut out at the end of the handle to prise under nails. All in all a decent set for the price for general diy tasks

Good basic pincers
These are a good solid pair of basic cast iron pincers that are the same shape as those that I have been using for over 50 years!Plain and simple they may be, but they will pull out nails and staples easily - the job they were designed to do!Many handymen "make do" by using pliers for pulling out nails, but these are far better for this job as the rolling action of the curved head shape provide the leverage to lever the nails out rather that having to rely on "brute strength" to pull them out! Many "modern" tool kits don't have a pair of simple pincers like this in them - they don't know what they are missing!

Brilliant
These are sturdy and with sharp blades. Made life so much easier removing nails and staples.

Just the job
I bought these to replace the 1940's models that had seen better days. Should have done it long ago. I would say they are medium sized, and nicely tooled. I first used them to remove nails. Recently I used them to remove staples very successfully. Good pincers at a good price.

Poor design
These are a solid pair of metal pincers that have been finished to a good standard. The fatal flaw for me is that the jaws meet halfway along their width rather than at the tips. That means that to get hold of a nail it must be sitting 2 or 3mm proud of the surface, which makes them pretty useless compared to my old pair of pincers which had an edge right on the curved outside face of the jaws, meaning that you could ease it into even a very small gap between the nail and the surface.

does the job
They work ok. Takes a lot of effort compared to a bigger version of these. I would say spend the few extra quid and get a bigger pincers. They're well built and I'd say with light use I'll probably gave them forever
