Everbuild – EuroScrim – Self-Adhesive Scrim Tape – High-Tack Adhesive – Off White – 48mm x 90m

Novice! First time trying to plasterboard and used this as per instructions, no pre-filling of joints. Stuck well, easy to fill over. Really happy with this product and the results, will use again and can’t recommend highly enough.

Until now I had always just filled cracks along the ceiling board joins with filler and never had great results. They either soon crack again or you can always see the join, or both. Always thought that using tape would be a lot of faff and even more likely to see the join. However I decided to give it a go (and do it properly) as I had a very obvious crack along the length of the hallway. Well so far so good. The tape is a piece of cake to apply as one would expect but then covering with filler (I used Make Good plasterboard Jointing filling and finishing compound) was easier than i expected and gives a good finish over the tape blending in with the edges. Thus far I haven't even painted the ceiling and I can hardly see the join. Will certainly do it properly in future and this reel is enough to to do several houses..

I expected it to be stickier because it rarely has enough hold to stick to the wall without plaster. But it still does the job.

Covers plasterboard sheet gaps well enough,occasionally didn't stick immediately,my only issue is that this amount would do a whole house and I only needed it for 2 rooms. Hope it's still sticky if I need the rest in future.
