Well built good quality. Good strong bolts and screws
Hung a 80 lbs bag and do pull ups on this thing. Good quality and will hold up so long as what you mount it on holds up.

Well build, solid and well designed. Couldn’t ask for a better pull-up bar

A must buy
Very sturdy. One thing though - I had thought that the height of the bar would be adjusted easily with a pin. But you actually use tools to tighten it in etc so you can’t switch the height without tools and spending some time unscrewing and screwing back on etc as you please.Overall, I recommend it. I’ve owned some pull up bars. This is a good one, worth the money and better than most out there within this price range.

Excellent quality but questionable packaging
What I liked:- Overall quality is pretty good. Extremely sturdy. Minimal complexity to install, but you may need a helper to hold it up as you put the bolts into the rafters, etc.- I have zero doubts about it holding a few hundred pounds, after installing, this thing did not budge or make any noise that would give me doubts. I had me and a teenager both hang off of it!- Seller is very responsive with questionsWhat I didn't like:- The first one I received was very damaged to the point where the metal was sharp. This was 100% due to packaging- The second one I received had some slight damage... but nothing that affected the functionality. Still not great- no instructions included. I know the install is somewhat obvious given the assembled pics but still, it would take the seller a minimal amount of time to include a very very brief picture with the few steps involved.

Solid bar with multiple grip positions
I had one of those door frame pull up bars for years and used it a lot but after a while it started to mess up the door jamb and my wife got tired of looking at what she called a "fitness eyesore". So I got this and donated the old bar to the goodwill.Assembly and install were a breeze and it came with all of the necessary hardware for mounting to wood or concrete. I used a drill for some pilot holes and then cinched it up with an impact driver but hand tools would work just as well, just take a lot longer. The tubing shifted a little on the first hang but after re-tightening it's been rock solid ever since and have had some big boys hang on it without issue. The multiple grip positions are nice and you can work different muscle groups just by switching things up and the round "knobs" really work the grip strength.

Great heavy duty bar
This is a fantastic heavy duty Joist mounted Pull Up Bar. Mounted this in the basement under a matted floor and was even able to hang an old heavy bag from it for now. Ordered this for both myself to start working out again... its been too many years since I last hit a gym, and my 12yo has started showing an interest in working out as well so a bit extra motivation for me. Mounting was easy although I used my own mounting hardware using longer heavy bolts pushed through the joist, nuts and large washers on the back side. The included hardware is fine and would work just fine. The finish was perfect with no marks or blemishes and the coating seems to be applied evenly.Grabbing the bars in all positions is comfortable and didn't find my hands slipped at all. Was able to do several pull-ups from the Medium and Oblique locations but struggled from the Inside and Wide locations. Obviously need to get back into a regular schedule. I'm down from 221Lbs from Jan to 198Lbs now and there was no flex of bending of the bar or mounting brackets. My kid needs to jump up as I told him not to use a stool in case he slips and he has no issues with this. He can jump up, swing around grabbing each of the locations like a monkey and can do several from the Medium and Oblique locations though it currently too wide further out. He'll grow into those however.I have an old 150Lb canvas heavy bag from years ago I hug from one of the eye hooks which my 12yo kid absolutely loves using. I'll admit it was nice to pull the gloves on again and poke it a few times. I'll have to pickup a proper mount for it sometime but it works from this Joist Pull Up Bar and its included mounting eyes so that's a plus for this product. We have a few sets of workout bands we're also using with this bar in several different ways allowing it to be used for multiple workouts from the floor or from a bench below it.The ONLY negative thing I can say isn't about the product but its box and packaging. Its straight up BAD! The box arrived with several fit sized holes in it from the parts sliding around. Amazingly the delivery guy (our main guy) said he stuffed the hardware bag back inside and taped over the holes when he started that morning after seeing the bag 1/2 out. Don't want to drop a star but seriously.. the manufacture either needs to increase the packing materials to secure the product inside better of provide a much stronger shipping box. That or sellers need to double box this product.Overall we're thrilled with a fantastic heavy duty Joist Pull Up Bar that's adaptable to easily be used in several ways additional for a complete body workout by adding bands, a simple bench, heavy bag, etc.

What you need to know
I'm tall (6' 3"), so this works for me only insomuch as I can get the hangars up into the ceiling. On an eight-foot ceiling, I need to bend my legs. This would be perfect in an environment with taller ceilings. Of course, the vendor has anticipated this by making the bar adjustable in height, but there's still a point where this becomes counter-productive to what one wants to use it for. This is the second Kipika item I've had, and they're made well. Really durable. They also have lots of thoughtfulness around connecting things to the bar, like bands and such. The hooks at the bottom make a nice addition for this. When it comes to installing this, however, I'd recommend two things - especially for those around or over 200#:1) Consider Installing it on a second piece of lumber that matches the HEIGHT of the ceiling joist and is a few inches longer than the pull-up bar in each direction.2) Consider using something like a Timber-Lok lag to secure it. This would give it more wood to bite into and prevent too much torsion on the joist. These screws and washers aren't something I'd want to place my weight on over and over again.
