Cuts brilliantly.
This is my 5th Wusthof classic knife and am very impressed. I had been using a Victrinox bread knife for years until it went missing so treated myself with some Xmas money. I can’t belive how much better this is. Super sharp, cuts easily and allows thin slices to be cut without crushing the bread. Even the Wife likes it. Identical in quality to my other knives and perfect length at 26cm.

Wow!
This is the mother of all bread knives! I used to hate slicing bread. Now, I buy loaves just for the fun of slicing them up. The better the knife, the more likely you will be able to cut perfectly straight slices of bread. Believe me, Wuesthoff make the finest knives on the planet. No wonder they are used be the greatest chefs. All high-class establishments should include the words "(Prepared using Wuesthoff cutlery)" on their menus.

Excellent
Excellent bread knife. Easily cut through any loaf with no effort at all! It is quite long though so for an average household the smaller one is probably adequate. Buy I bought this so I can slice a whole cake in half (in height). I am also terrified of cutting off my own fingers!

Excellent Knife
Expensive but really good quality and makes cutting large loaves effortless. Pleasure to use, as is my set of Wusthof Knives I purchased previously. These knives were originally recommended to me by a top chef!

wusthof classic 26cm bread knife
Decided to get this knife to aide better slicing of the bread made in our bread maker. We have a variety of bread knives in the cutlery draw all cheap ones. It took some kind of leap of faith to pay the same price of the bread maker for a knife, but I'm glad I did! The blade is well balanced and stiff so the slices you get are very accurate. It goes without saying that this knife is sharp, one plaster on the girlfriends finger! I was considering a global knife but although I like the look of them I don't think they're as practical. Eg they can't be thrown in the dishwasher! I would have given 5 stars if the description on the cardboard sheath about sharpening was correct. It states that you can sharpen the knife using a steel, which would clearly wreck a serrated blade!

Wusthof knives
These knives are beyond a doubt the best knives to use, I own - Cooks knife - vegetable/paring knife - Tomato knife & this Bread knife the last one to get is the carving knife then I'm completely set up.I had to send my cooks & paring knives back to Wusthof as the handles had hairline cracks to them Wusthof sent me back brand new replacements so how good is that.I have to agree with a lot of other people on here when they say how well balanced these knives are

Sharp bread knife
This is a very good sharp bread knife. It cuts neatly and easily - much better than its predecessor - and is comfortable to use. I like the length though I can understand some finding it too long.

An essential for anyone who eats unsliced bread
Simply the best bread knife on the market: very, very sharp so it cuts slices effortlessly and straight, and long enough to cut across most loaves of bread. Stop hacking at loaves and start carving them, if you make your own bread this really is a must.
