Hugely disappointed as the advertised oven is not complete
Hugely disappointed as the advertised oven is not complete. You need to buy and apply insulation, a coating and the brickwork base for example. These extras amount to over £250. Thus the advert is extremely misleading.

Great Tasting Pizza
Used the oven to cook pizza for the first time at the weekend, and have to say the pizza we cooked was the best I've ever tasted.Although the end result (cooking pizza) was great, there are a few things, which stop this pizza oven from getting a better score. When we assembled the oven, some of the parts did not fit very well, and we had to pump the gaps full of silicone to fill them, and ended up having to buy a second tube of silicone to fill larger internal gaps.We have been advised by the supplier, that oven will require insulating, to help to retain heat, which is additional costs that we hadn't budgeted for.The size and design of the oven are great for what we want, and the size of our garden, if you are hoping to cook numerous pizzas in one go, it might be worth looking for a larger pizza oven, as you could probably only cook 1 pizza at a time in this oven.Ensure you follow the instructions, and prime the oven first, as this is important to help top get rid of the excess moisture in the oven from manufacture.Despite the minor faults, it cooked a great pizza, and hopefully once we get use to the oven more, it will continue to cook many, many more in the future.Since adding this review, I have since done what the supplier advises, and insulated and rendered the Pizza oven, although the rendering was a bit of a pain to do, and I had to buy extra cement, we used the Pizza oven yesterday, for the 1st time since insulating it, and have to say the performance since insulating it, was unbelievable, and gave us a much longer cooking window.I went out this morning to check on the oven, to make sure the embers had burnt out, and the inside of the oven was still warm.A few cracks have appeared in the rendering, which is probably down to an uneven spread of the cement, but that is just cosmetic, and can be patched up.Next time we use the oven, we are going to try and bake something in the oven after cooking Pizzas, as it retained heat for quite some time after cooking the Pizzas.

I'd recommend this oven if you have a budget and you ...
Hi,I've had a Vitcas 'Casa' single oven in my garden since 2012. I bought the oven at a time when there weren't too many options for domestic outside wood fired ovens. On the whole it works well but as the previous reviewer has said, it need extra insulation to increase it thermal mass! If you don't add the fire blanket and render, the oven will loose temp and quicker and you won't get the desired pizza! I'd recommend this oven if you have a budget and you don't mind cooking 1 pizza at a time - no way you can do two! I use a brick to keep the flames/embers to one side and cook a 12" pizza one-at-a-time....See picsCheersTony Jones
