Mama Huhu !
I wanted a trimmer of this particular style, with the ‘spade’ tip. I read some critical reviews and ordered two, in the hope that at least one would be okay. They duly arrived and guess what, neither of them worked! I fitted the appropriate battery, switched on and nothing happened – no buzzing, the motor was stalled.They were so cheap that I decided not bother getting a refund. However, I am not one to give up easily and I decided to investigate. I have identified the problem and found a fix.The problem is that the motors really need more than 1.5 Volts to work correctly in this application. However, the battery compartment is only designed to accept a single 1.5V AA cell. Therefore, they may not start after a long period of storage, especially in a dry environment. To repair them, I held the trimmers vertically and applied a few drops of sewing machine oil to the blades. Then, I waited for a few minutes to allow the oil to penetrate the mechanism. I applied 2.5 Volts from a bench power supply to the battery terminals and the motor started. After a few seconds, the entire mechanism was running freely and I heard it speed up. I re-fitted the battery and I now have one good trimmer and one good spare! If you don’t have access to a bench power supply, I would suggest getting a good one, (return the faulty one for exchange) and apply the oil as described.Why did I use the heading Mama Huhu above? I had cause to learn some Chinese Mandarin a few years ago and it seems appropriate for this review. It literally translates to 'horse, horse, tiger, tiger' but when used in this context, it equates to the English expression, ‘Just so, so’. Happy trimming!

Good product
This is a fine unpretentious inexpensive product which does exactly what it claims to do. I like it. It does not get a huge amount of use but at the price I am not complaining in the least.

cheap and cheerful, but now deceased
I bought this 6 months ago and it worked ok-ish (for such a cheap item) until this week when it has died and refuses to operate, even with a new battery. To be fair, this has happened with every nasal hair trimmer I've ever bought (all cheap - but maybe my nose hairs are particularly tough).So for around a [], not much more than a pint of Guiness, I expect it to die after a few months - and I can't be arsed to bother about the warranty.My only slight complaint is that it could have worked a bit better, when it was working - so I'll try another (cheap) brand.

First class for the money
I'm bewildered by so many negative reviews. Several said it never arrived, others said it was cheap & tacky or fell apart into "bits of plastic" after one use. I bought this item a couple of weeks ago and it's fine. It arrived within about 3 working days, is sound and robust as well as doing the job it was designed for. My only negative is that the top comes off a little too easily (maybe this is what that clown was on about when he said it fell apart. Those bits of plastic were the unit and the top, noggin head !) but that's not really a problem. As my mother in law used to say, "What you want for tuppence ?"

did the job while it lasted
This was very simple, mostly effective. But is didn't last very long. The build was very plastic and it looked cheap. It was cheap therefore I shouldn't complain. Unfortunately, it dropped out of the medicine cabinet and the blade stopped working. The motor worked but a spring or something popped out and it wouldn't trim.

Ahem. Considering that my lowest review to date has been 4* this came as a bit of a shock to me...I'm a nice guy...really. There I was just browsing through my purchase history to see if I could review any products that I have purchased in the past. Then my friends... I stumbled across this....WOW! Now you look at the price and more than likely think...Martin why do you care so much? It's only £2.69. This is why....SAVE YOUR £2.69. Go and buy a cheeseburger from McDonalds. Go and buy a coffee from Starbucks. Go and get yourself some Tesco own brand bread and ham, some Butter and have a nice few sandwiches. Put it into Stocks and Shares and hope by some blind smite of luck you'll become a millionaire. Better still give it to charity. Whatever you do fellow Amazon shoppers DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Now on to the product review;1. Placed order.2. Amazon deliver promptly. (as always)3. I take the product out of the packaging and to my amazement it doesn't work. They wouldn't send me a product that doesn't work...would they?4. I try various batteries to see if that may be the problem.5. I loose my patience and proceed to reign down on the product repeatedly with a stainless steel hammer before chucking it out of the window only for it to land it the road. I watched on for several moments until finally a 20 ton rig drives past kitted out with bull bars, snow chain tyres and side mounted rail guns. It crushes the product into the ground leaving nothing but dust and disappointment.Ok ok ok. The last point is clearly a load of old cobblers, that's just what I wished would have happened but in all seriousness people stay clear of this item. In my honest opinion I'd rather have nasal hair that connects to my feet via my back hair.Outrageously abysmal and utterly useless 1* :'(

Brilliant little gadget
So good I bought a second one for the father in law. Have used a rotary blade before but this is better. Only criticism I could make is that the battery cover on my second purchase is not as secure as the first but for the price its pretty good.

Feels weird at first but after a few times you get the hang of it.This Nasal Trimmer does it's job perfectly and is of great quality.Wahl has always delivered when it comes to hair trimming products.Recommend!
