I was a little disappointed at first, because I was unable to register my product with the manufacturer as I wasn't the first owner. I contacted Amazon and they said they would honor the warranty.

Read the spec carefully!
I knew the Asus Z790-P was a great mobo, so I bought one. When I received confirmation of the order I noticed it was a 'D4'. I checked the spec and it does NOT support DDR5! So why call it a D4? They should call it the 'DDR4 version' to avoid doubt. Why Asus make this mobo, and Amazon still sell it, is stupid (IMHO), when the price difference is small.I returned this one without installing and now have a 'proper' Z790-P that I will combine with 32GB Vengeance DDR5 :)The DDR5 version works fine.

Fast and has all the features I need but has memory compatibility issues
Excellent features, but it can't read my new memory XMP settings so running at 4500mhz instead of 7200mhz. This seems to be a known problem for all their Z790 motherboard memory controllers, with lots of people not being able to run their memory at normal speeds. Many users also can't use all 4 memory slots and have to switch back to 2 slots. Only buy if they have fixed it.

quite powerful board
I have used MSI motherboards for the last few years for my PC builds, however, I switched to ASUS for this time.I am really impressed with the BIOS settings available in this ASUS Prime Z790-P WIFI D4. They seem far more easy to use than my previous MSI boards. This means that you can tweak just about anything.So far so good, the actual running of the board has been faultless so far.
