Q: How is sizing? Circumference??

i bought these for a guy who is about 6 feet tall and wears a size 2X in shirts. he says that the M/L fits him perfectly and does not fall off. so i would think if you are smaller, that this size would be too big. and that is the smallest size. perhaps you could convince the manufacturer to make a smaller size. like S/M perhaps look for another company that makes this type of item for smaller sizes.

Q: Are these machine washable?

i would not machine wash. it is a work item, so i am sure it will be dirty. perhaps a rinse in the sink to get the dirt off. i gave this to some guys who work on a tree farm. they dig in the dirt. so, far, they tell me , that they are working out well. and not falling off. i would try just a good rinsing in the sink, . perhaps the manufacturer has an answer. i did not see any info about washing instructions. did you look inside, sometimes there may be instructions there. that`s the best i can say. .
