Simple to use and fixes solidly to my Lumix TZ100
This fitted beautifully on my Lumix TZ100 and allows me to fit a variable ND and polarizer filter to the camera - the only thing that used to frustrate me with this gem. Unfortunately, on first use, there was a tiny bit of excess glue that stuck to the lens barrel every time it closed and stopped the lens extending without a bit of a manual jiggle. I removed the excess glue with the tip of a craft knife when I got home and it now works perfectly. Obviously, you have to be gentle fixing the filters, don't screw too hard or you could damage the lens - it wasn't designed for this! But, if you are careful, it works perfectly and the adapter fits snugly against the body as if it had always been there. I am very happy with it.

It makes a compact camera lens ‘permanently’ larger so loses some of the compactness
I used this on my Sony RX100M3. It sticks on and works perfectly well. The only negative really is that because it is permanently in place it essentially makes the diameter of the end of the lens larger. Although that isn’t necessarily a problem, in my case it means the camera catches as it’s put into its case...and in fact some previously OK cases wouldn’t fit any more.So whilst it works as it should, I’ve since bought the M6 and am using a 58mm Magfilter adapter on that. Although there’s a risk of the filter unit being knocked off, it’s a far better solution in my view because all that is fixed to the camera is a slender ferrous ring/washer which is pretty much invisible and doesn’t affect the camera dimensions in real terms when the filter adapter itself isn’t being used.So of the two systems, to me the Magfilter is better although it’s about double the price of the Kiwifotos adapter. That doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with the latter, simply that the former is better.

Very pleased with this
I love my Sony RX100 but! no screw thread for filters. Don't despair this little adhesive ring will do the job admirably. Great care must be taken to ensure the peel off adhesive ring is aligned exactly to the filter ring and camera and once pressed into position it is stuck fast and looks just like part of the camera and still fits comfortably in it leather case if a filter in not left attached. It does look a little odd when the camera is switched on and the lens barrel extended, because you now have a 55mm flange at the end of your lens barrel. This is not a problem for me because the fact that I can now use filters over rides this. The filter attachment finish matched the camera perfectly and is not noticeable in the closed turned off position. A good solution for the discerning photographer who wants the benefit of attaching filters. I would buy again.

First impressions were positive
But after a couple of days I found that the adhesive used to hold it on to my RX100vii is too wide and therefore sticks elements of the lens together so it doesn't start up correctly. Get a message on the screen to power off and on again, but still the lens doesn't open.I did think about trying to trim back the amount of adhesive so it only sticks to the innermost element, but then there is not enough to keep it attached for any reasonable length of time.My search for a good filter holder continues

An essntial item for any of the Sony RX100 series cameras
I've used these on my Mk 1 Sony RX100, and they are good. I've now just replaced the Mk 1 with a Mk 3.So, I'm giving the Mk 1 to a friend, and my first Kiwifoto 52 mm lens adapter, goes with it.This is simply a threaded ring, with some adhesive on the back. It's easy to peel of the covering of the sticky rear side of the adapter, and mount it on the front of the lens.I got this, not really so I could use filters, but to protect the, leaf shutter like, front lens protector. This adapter can be used to mount filters, but it will also allow a 52mm lens cap.The two weak spots on this little gem are the LCD screen, and the front of the lens mechanism, and shutter-like closure. My friend got a dent in his, which prevented the front opening, the blades were stuck, so I wish to avoid that, and this adapter, with, or without filter, enables you to put on a lens cap, and, thus prevent any damage to the front of the lens.

Quality Metal Product
I cannot fault it. Does exactly what it should and looks very good on the camera. It is of a quality metal construction. Obviously it extends the size of the camera by the depth of the adaptor.Update after 4 weeksThe glue does not set firmly in the front of the lens and I found the mount moving around over time. I had to remove it using a p!attic spatula.

Gets in the way of the flash
I have had to remove as it casts a shadow when using the flash.

As expected and easy fit.
Fits well on the sony rx100iii but is a little bulky and prevents many cases from fitting. If i was to do it again I would getvthe meg filter adaptor which just pops off and leaves no extra bulk.
