Easy to do, the only criticism is the connector can be joined anyway, so be careful that you pay attention to where the wires are.

Watch which way you connect them
I bought two of these to repair damaged cables on garden equipment.They are relatively straightforward to fit although the screw to open the connector was incredibly tight. Also the cable grips had been inserted upside down (on both ends of the both pairs of connectors ... four in all) so that had to be corrected by unscrewing more incredibly tight screws.Do remember to put the LIVE end of the cable on the FEMALE side of the socket otherwise one will have a lethal 2-pin live male connector with exposed copper pins. There are no instructions and it would be an easy (and last?) mistake to make.Depending on where the cable needs to be repaired it may be worth shortening the cable at the appliance end otherwise the connector block will be dragging on the ground and is likely to disconnect itself.Out of the two connector I purchased one grips together better than the other; there is no locking clip / method ... it is merely a friction fit. A strip of electrical tape helps keep the halves together.So there we are. Cheap and effective but one star removed for the tight screws and upside down cable grip; another removed for the varied fit.

Does the job
Good connection between the socket and pins, could be a little more tighter! The wire slips into the connection easy but not as watertight as I would have liked? The cable a slight difference to to opening, so leaves a very small gap around the cable where water could ingress given a chance? So I have placed a little insulating tape around the wire and holes to make it fully water tight? It needed to be a little tighter so then no tape would be required? But over all I’m happy with the purchase? So would I recommend it, yes!
