Rammellzee: Racing for Thunder Hardcover – September 3, 2024

This book was delivered early this morning, and 3 hours later, I’m just now taking a break from it! It must contain every single photo of Ramm and all his work, plus amazing quotations from nearly everyone who ever knew him, including his brother. The scholarship and sheer logistics involved in amassing this mass of material boggle my mind! If you have the slightest interest in this untrammeled genius, you must have this book.

If you are not familiar with the art and multifaceted creativity of Rammelzee, this is a definitive introduction. Lots of interviews and vintage photographs of the man and his peers in the graffiti and uptown meets downtown art worlds.

Comprehensive, well-written, and collegiate in scope, this book was obviously a labor of love and toiled over meticulously for many months. Much respect due- Ramm’s legacy is so complex, so all-encompassing, it would seem near-impossible for a publication to do it justice. Somehow, justice was done here. A welcome and respectable addition to any collection.

The media could not be loaded. It’s not like anything you’re expecting. Or it’s what you expected times ten! Basically it’s like something you’d find at an abandoned space station in another Planet.Mad props to the editors too unsung hero’s especially Max Wolf you can really feel his presence and genius in and out and around it. But yes of course RAMM EL ZEE!!!

The book is excellent. Everything and more that you would want in celebration of the great Rammellezee.

A generational artist given a generational tribute in this singular publication!
