I really like this unit, but had to use the 3/4 instead of the 1" connections like I planned on
Has anyone been able to use the 1' threads on this successfully? The threads are too short for shark bite or other connectors, so they don't bottom out for a tight fit. The supplied fittings for the 3/4" thread work fine and I used an adapter with a female ID of 3/4 and a male 1" that the shark bite could use. good quality pipe dope and it installed without any leaks or issues. Technically the 3/4 should be fine for my well pressure, but I would have preferred to keep it 1" and it doesn't seem to have affected the water pressure that I can notice, but I can't verify that. It definitely stops the sand and silt from clogging my main water filter, so well worth the money.I really like this and it works flawlessly and seems to be very good quality. The only issue I have is that the 1" fittings are way too short for anything there than their included 3/4 adapters, so this should not claim to have 1" connections since you can't use them. All of the other similar spin down filters also have the same short male thread issue.Additional comments: This works great. We had a day where the power kept coming on and off and the well pump had a lot of sediment. I had to flush it several times, but it did catch the sediment. The only downside is that it does slightly decrease the water pressure from the well tank. This is most noticeable taking showers. I removed the screen just to see if the issue was the 1” to 3/4” change (which I doubted) or the filter itself. Water pressure increased noticeably. I’ve been concerned about this for spin filters in general and I think running two in parallel will collect any silt and will increase the pressure. Two 40 microns in parallel should act more like 80 microns assuming that the pressure drop is linear, so it may be more like 60 or 70, but in any case should get the pressure back up to what it was just running through the next filter stage.

Works great.
The media could not be loaded. So we are rehabbing a property and the well water has sediment and kept clogging our faucets and washing machine would take forever because the inlet would get clogged. We bought this bad boy and now I have zero slow downs. Super easy to use and clean. I only have this as a quick set up but will be mounting it, but between working on a 1921 home and caring if it’s mounted at the end of the day if it’s working is low on the totem pole. Over all I am very pleased with my purchase!

Easy to install.
This filter is great and easy to install. The only thing is the spin down feature doesn't clean the filter as good as I hoped but it does ok. But my water has a lot of iron in it so it does pretty good as a pre-filter.

It isn’t recommend
The filter doesn’t stand the municipality home incoming high water pressure, in my case the filter deformed and stoped rotating.

Pressure drops significantly!
I installed a new whole home water filtration system and the manufacturer suggested I get a 50 micron or less spin down filter to go before it. I purchased this because it mentioned it won't lose pressure. After spending two days troubleshooting everything trying to figure out why I had low pressure and eventually no pressure in my home. It turns out the 40 micron mesh filter inside the housing unit is the culprit. Once I removed it from the housing unit, my water pressure throughout my home is perfect and consistent. So now I have a cute housing unit with a little window to watch the water NOT flow through the 40 micron mesh filter. So much for it won't lose pressure!

If you only have a 3/4" water line fitting then this filter will fit your needs.
I couldn't find anywhere in the item description of what normal plumbing pipe sizes it accepts. I read 2 or 3 reviews that said said it came with 1" male pipe fittings. They were right but in a wrong way. The 1" fittings on the filter are straight threads for hydraulic uses, which means they can't be connected to "regular " house plumbing pipe with tapered threads. The seller should state that this filter can only be used with 3/4" pipe. Edit: Seller contacted me and apologized for the 3/4" sizing. You could buy a fitting to adapt from 1" metric to 1" tapered threads but the adapters cost more than the filter.

Nice product - support not so good
The product is really well built. The support for the product is not good. The package delivered to me was missing a part and the company refused to send me the missing part, after writing them a couple of times.
