Better than expected
This computer is a little speed demon. I don't play computer games, but I do some video and audio editing for my wife's YouTube channel, I run livestreams for her as well and this computer has been fantastic. I personally write sci-fi and use a 3D mapping program for keeping track of real-life star systems and this computer handles that program very well. I am running three monitors with no problem. The computer was easy and fast to set up. It handles my 1Gb network very well, getting dowloads of around 850 Mbps and uploads around 950 Mbps. I'm streaming music or movies almost all day long while working and have had no issues. I will note that there can be some fan noise when I am pushing the workload, but that is going to be true with any computer. It is so small that I am able to put the computer on the backside of my desk which all but eliminates hearing the fan noise. it is never as loud as a server, so I can easily deal with it, and with a little music playing, you don't even notice it. Plenty of storage and memory for all my needs. I did add a powered USB hub to add connections for all the extra hardware I use (headphones, scan gun, printer, keyboard, mouse, external hard drive bays, thumb drives, Ubikey, GoPro, WebCam, etc). Everything has been working great and very fast.

My new Plex / download / media server : power and some logistics
As the streaming wars continue to heat up a casualty in the fight is the direct consumer: you and me. How many emails have you gotten that say "Hey we're going to charge you more money because we know you'll say yes lol."Since I have tons of music and shows in digital format, I wanted a way to run a plex server in my house not on an old laptop. I wanted something that was easy to use, light on power consumption, and could perform. I think the beelink does all of these. I almost went with linux but decided on Windows because I have more experience there and so many things about this were new to me that I didn't want to get overwhelmed. I think in the future I'll upgrade to a Linux version in a few years (as hardware gets better too), but currently it's more than fine. For some power notes, I see 2 watts when it's powered off completely. On start up it uses 25-45 watts, and with two external USB hard drives plugged in and it actively streaming via plex on my LAN it uses up about 25 watts. On idle, once powered up with non resource intensive things running, it's about 20 watts.I threw folding@home on and with both the GPU and CPU doing work units I'm consuming 40-45 watts. So power consumption will largely be based on what you're doing with it. I think 480 watt hours (20x24) would be a good budget number for anyone looking for that value. If you're not using external hard drives it will probably be a bit lower but I don't know how much. I think beelink makes a unit that accepts 12v vs this one that takes 19v. The AC/DC transformer (power adapter) is warm to the touch so obviously some of that power is going into the heat and conversion. This is probably information overload for many, but for anyone offgrid or otherwise miserly about their power it may be good to know. Hence why long term for me I'll probably end up with a 12v version (more efficient) and maybe Linux just because of stability and processor efficiency. But that's a personal thing, I haven't had any problems with Windows on this machine so far.I would highly recommend more memory. It came with two 8gb cards and I happen to have a spare 16gb laying around so I tossed that in and it made a HUGE difference. It seems like 16gb is about as much ram as my personal setup needed, just to run at a baseline. Opening a browser on that machine was painful. So now with 24gb it's still sucking up the 16gb but it leaves me with a ton of overhead.Logistics wise I put this small box and its two hard drives (mirrored via Windows' "Storage Spaces") right behind my laptop. My external keyboard/mouse/monitor are all on a usb hub that plugs into a USB C port on my macbook. When I want to work with the beelink I just plug the single hub connection and pop it into the front of the beelink: nice and easy. For a few hundred bucks I have a great home theater / plex server in my home that is also getting other digital media via the internet via various methods.

Incredibly impressed
If you are looking for something to game with, this isn't it. However, this unit absolutely sips power while performing about 3-4 times faster than an N95 unit when it comes time for most office work. They run cool, easily mount to the back of most VESA monitors, and frankly the hardware you get is well thought out. The only thing I would wish for would be a 2.5Gb network adapter, however, for what it is it performs very well.

These are awesome!
This is a great little machine as a server or an office PC. I got it for my parents as they've finally managed to destroy their Windows 8 machine. Sadly I had to return it. Out of the box, it didn't want to turn on, did on the 5th attempt. But then nevermore. Just a spinning fan, hot air, no video output, no USB power. Must've gotten a dud.

Poor communication no refund!
I love this little PC, very powerful, but unfortunately, after 14 months, it went blue screen. To make matters worse, I bought the protection plan from Amason, "Asurion", and I got no response from them after I filed a claim. I filled out all the forms, (you would think Amazon would have all this on file, they don't). I finally got through to their help desk, they told me I didn't fill the form out complete, OK, I added, that I bought it from Amazon even though the receipt and protection plan say that and re-submitted all three forms. Still no answer, no email, nothing. So, I called them again, and they could not find the upload from me, so I submitted again. They finally said they got it. It's been two weeks and still no answer. I'll keep on them, but clearly this company does call/pay avoidance. They are not a tech company; they just insure by the dollar amount. No way to track it on-line, or to see where it is in the process. Totally blind. In the meantime, I have an old outdated back up PC. So, I'm going back to building my own tower. At least I can repair parts of it if it fails. Good luck with Ausurion.
