In dash corner replaced 2.3/4 nothing burgers
Robust midrange that is distortion free ---- textured sound.... The midrange actually has transients that are pronounced more. It sounds strong and textured at volumes that can blow my eardrums... So... At certain frequencies the reflection off of the inside windshield corner (((BECAUSE I RAISE THE VOLUME TOO MUCH))) will cause a a beaming or power alley of that frequency....Sort of a frequency that doesn't want to leave that area of the dash corner ... Like a sustained note that leaves the front of the speaker, but because of a bad acoustic space (dash corner) gets multiplied in volume. That's at excessive volume. Under ideal conditions, such as facing the listener without the impediments or physical properties of an acoustic horn ( like the corner of my dashboard) this speaker is AWESOME. there is no bombastic or loud thumping from this speaker because we crossed over at like 200hz or so IIRC, plus any speaker would need to be large in order to accomplish that. This is a midrange speaker for bringing out your rock music guitars upper-upper bass (midbass) mids, and will pass some treble ... There is treble to be found with this speaker btw.So you know when people drive around booming bass and annoyingly play music , that seems like it's only bass ? This is antithetical to that sort of sound system. Although , 6 of these facing the user at mid or above mid volumes would be a beautiful experience. Just not how I get carried away with at ear bursting volumes, with the horn / beam forming acoustics.Awesome... I guess this review is to help me reinforce the idea of proper comfortable volume levels.I have 2 12" speakers under my crew cab rear seat that are down firing in a sealed box for accuracy vs. muddy bass, with barely enough room for woofer excursion, infinity speakers (kappa 6.5" components) in the front door with tweeters side firing across driver chest and front passenger chest area, the 6.5" cerwin vega midbass stroker (the real stroker with piston plug) in the rear doors. All tuned properly for hours with rear seat off and rear seat on because the seat absorbs sound.

Next Level
So, a few things. I have a 2018 Tundra that is wired so that dash speakers run from the head unit and other speakers run from a under the seat factory "amp". I initially replaced front door speakers with Kappa 2 way components and the rear doors with Infinity reference coax. All run from a 75w RMS per channel 4 way amp. I disconnected the dash speakers. This gave excellent sound but seemed to lack a little in the midrange, mostly vocals and certain instruments. I installed these in the dash running directly (through the xover) to the Kenwood DMX907s head unit at 22rms. They sounded loud but harsh and a little muddy on certain songs even with proper EQ'ing. I removed them for a couple of weeks but the gap bothered me. I decided the best way to run it would be to connect it to the 2-way crossover (the way it is meant to be) then run new speaker wire to the dash and see if more power would clear up the issues. It absolutely did. I of course had to drop my mid levels because these are fairly loud but once I got the EQ levels correct it sounds SO nice. I can listen to Kendrick Lamar or Dave Matthews and it sounds like they are performing on my dash. Guitars from Tool, or Lamb of God sound like I am in front of the stage. They really sound awesome with all types of music. With the 6.5's powered they add a decent level of bass but I am looking forward to getting a JL Audio 10' sub installed. I think that will really round it out.

Great for the money
These things sound great. I have them Incorporated into a set of is 165 Focals to complete a three way system using the stock crossover. I have another set of infinity 6.5 coax and Focal 6 x 9's with a 12 inch Focal subwoofer. It fills out the whole sound stage very well. Would definitely but again. I have about 45-50 ways running to them with absolutely no problem handling it. They fit well in a 2017 Nissan Altima dash corner location. Want able to use all my screws but it fits with no worries about it going anywhere with the included bracket. Can use a washer and another one of the screws to make a solid mount if you want

Great sound but confusing directions
I love the sound of these tweeters in my car. I couldn’t really figure out why these came with 4 pieces as opposed to the normal 2. U usually don’t need the non tweeter pieces if your car sound system is simple. Fit well in my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and relatively easy to install once I watched a few youtube videos. Written directions and diagrams could be much more specific.

Way too bright
I bought these to pair up with my Kappa 6.5" components. With proper amp power, these speakers sounded great but when the 2" "mid range" speakers ( which are basically big tweeters) were added in the mix the system became WAY too bright (treble heavy). This can lead to situations where music can produce harsh and unpleasant tones, midrange frequencies like vocals can also great lost under the increased treble. I'd either skip this upgraded or spent the extra money on the 3" drivers instead.

Filled gap in tweeter and woofer response perfectly
Replaced corner dash speakers in a Subaru Outback with HK radio. Factory speakers were muddy also I put in an Alpine component tweeter and 6x9. There was a little something missing in the sounds and these midrange speakers were the juice.I didn’t realize how much midrange helps with vocals, guitar, and especially talk on radio like announcer or Rush Limbaugh :). But even more important for quality music. Gorillaz ‘Dare’ sounds sparkly now I’m a good way. Sledgehammer sounds like Peter Gabriel again. The mounts worked perfect and the crossovers were a perfect match for the range put out by the HK DSP. 500-7000 Hz. They play well with the alpine component and I think they would be great with any woofer tweeter combo that needs more mids
