Maypole 20A Dual Voltage 12/24V Metal Cased Car Battery Charger Lead Acid AGM Built in Safety Features

I've not actually used this as a battery charger yet, just as a 12v supply for my compressor. It works well in that role supplying all the current I need.I had a quick peek inside and it is a well-made unit, with plenty of cable between connections, and no stress on any components physically. The terminations all have been professionally done with all solder joints done at the right temperature, I could see no evidence of cracking or dry joints as is common with many far eastern products. The componentry looks to be all of a reasonable quality and the tolerances chosen for longevity.So far all in all I am very pleased with both the performance of the charger and the delivery service.

I needed a new battery charger for my old Motorhome that is based on an Iveco Coach. As such this had the 24 volts system for the engine and a 12 volt system for the house battery, lights, fridge etc. I had purchased a smart charger from eBay which was supposed to be able to cope with this situation but just two weeks out of the guarantee period it blew up and could not be repaired as the PCB inside was cemented in. I put this new Maypole charger to work thinking that I would have to switch between the 12 and 24 volts modes of charging but to my good fortune found that it would charge both sets at the same time and is doing a man sized job that the stupid smart charger could not manage. A great bit of kit and built like a tank.Al.

very nice and good quality charger. High amp with proper cabling and attachment. So far has not given me any trouble. But it is very heavy which shows it has a good transformer.

This is a quality piece of kit. Bit heavy but tough construction. Old school but really does the job.

Great charger. Used it to charge a totally dead battery. The car doors woudnlt even open.connecte this charger on Boost mode and number 2 and it charged it to 10amp in 2hrs on my vw Bora ...didn't think it would work but wow man I am so impressed with thisOnly downside it is heavy and big but it needs to be for the power it puts out! Well built but charges batteries fast !

Very dissatisfied. Bought two of these and both arrived not working. Power light comes on and output reading of 0.25. no reading from the meter. Tried on two batteries. Same result. Left on battery for 48hrs and nothing. Checked fuses and all fine there. Used an old charger that gives a power output reading of 15+. No help from Amazon. Return or refund doesn't help me when I need to charge a battery.

Appears to be a solid well made charger. The first unit worked perfectly on two batteries but then stopped working and would not charge the next. I tried another battery and checked the incoming and out going fuses which were fine. I returned the unit and the replacement did not work. I checked the fuses and the outgoing was broken. After changing the fuse it is working fine. We use 12 volt 80A batteries for electric fences and need a reliable charger so watch this space.

A brilliant battery charger, heavy and well made this charger will charge most vehicle batteries quickly without the worry of over-heating and cutting out as some chargers I've had. An excellent addition to any vehicle owner who in these winter months might lose battery power, ideal for most batteries.
